City are excruciating to watch
Why do you think this is?

Listening to something today which suggested that FFP penalties will be fines and not points deductions from next season.
Anyone else heard that? If so it will be an absolute joke for the mega rich top clubs and they might as well scrap it.

Nope she definitely knew

Why so angry boys? -
I do hate it when people say that the government pays for stuff. It's the tax payers that are paying for it, the government are just signing the cheques.
I realise it's just shorthand for what I've said but it still narks me somewhat that some people are actually thinking it's the government's money. Maybe nobody does! -
I must've missed that, still a slap on the wrist at most.

Has Rashford always been like this and the media are just catching on to it now? Or is it just recently when he's been out of form?
He was the golden boy playing well under OGS, helping the free school meals etc but the complete lack of respect for the manager and club coinciding with him being horribly out of form is really odd. Did he think he'd get away with his trip to Belfast? Or is he trying to force a move/change of manager or something?
Finding it amusing how quickly ten Hag is trying to brush this under the carpet, there's no word about punishments or consequences even, only that's its an internal matter and the case is closed, he has ... accepted responsibility for his actions.
Yeah right Erik everything points to these players basically having no respect for you and the club but as you say, the case is closed, he's accepted responsibility so everything is fine.

If anything, that should make you understand why we didn't go for him. Pep seems to think he's not great under pressure where close control is important.
You'd think Pep/ Man City's due diligence would be better than that, to sign a player for that much and not know about any technical limitations.
Didn't read the full article as I don't have a subscription.

Injury to Salah more serious than we thought, oh dear he'll miss the rest of Afcon and be fully fit for Liverpool when it finishes. So predictable.

There’s absolutely no way Arsenal lose this, I’m going on the record!

Wasn't long ago the keeper starting tonight for Villa was playing for Gateshead. Nice one.
Was apparently only on loan there from Villa

Always find it hilarious when Pep mentiones how much spirit his team has, what battling qualities they show. Like they're a normal team.
They're far and away the best team in Europe if not the world. The have the most expensively assembled squad, the best coach and unlimited resources. Reversing a 0-2 scoreline against relative minnows should be business as usual. The notable thing is them being 2 down to begin with.
I guess he's just reframing the narrative and thinks we're all idiots (or at least their fans) like most top team coaches.

Rest is football podcast, their season preview is chiefly notable for the jarring number of times Shearer repeats the phrase ‘in and around’

Mad these prices, £40 million for what is essentially a good prospect from a relegated team but I guess it's not my money so what do I care!

That wasn’t the narrative I was running with there…

Please take him, please?

Yes, in the football forum I'm very much a lurker

He'll most likely be on prohibitive wages now.

They speak Portuguese.
There is like 2/3 senior players in the entire first team squad that are English, and without sounding too BNP about it that’s got to be an issue. Could you engage as much with NUFC if we had practically zero English/Geordie players?
I don't think most people would give a shit tbh if the team was doing well.

Strange that Dutch had the exact same.
Wait, you're not suggesting these are choreographed?
That would seem completely out of character for the regime.
Apologies for source (I'd actually advise you not to click)
