So what connects all 3? Hopefully these are the 3 which best suits an overall plan rather than the scattergun approach we usually have. Howe the only one with prem experience so guess it’ll be him.
-
Potter has far better credentials for miracle rises if that’s what matters, including football style. Still he sits with a lesser win % than Bruce in the PL.
-
Eh? You are confusing 2 points here. Yes, some of his signings were flops, some good buys as well, the point being he had the chance to do so and why they rapidly went up the leagues and when it went wrong he had money to further buy his way out of trouble. He wouldn’t get much say in transfers so I’m not arsed on that side, my issue is lauding him as some miracle worker when in reality he couldn’t have been given any more resource during his time there. Truth be told no one really knows how good he is as the money behind Bournemouth masks that. His next job is where you’d really judge him, I just don’t want us to be taking the risk and finding out it was just the money catapulting them rather than his ability.
-
hopefully not but I’d just like to add of the hidden cost of wages isn’t on display here. I doubt their few k of fans covered the wages of all these signings. Bournemouth grew substantially as they had financial backing, not down to savvy management. They lasted longer in the prem for the same reason.

just the £80m spend in 2 championship seasons. However did he do it?
-
Its almost like keeping Bruce on is helping lower expectations by starving already hungry fans.
-
£200m Howe spent to keep Bournemouth in the PL. no idea how he managed it. Fair play. For balance he brought in £70m in that time.
-
Which was more to do with their overspending than the man in charge.
-
Low budget? You mad. He spent a small fortune with big wages and had some very expensive flops to his name.
-
Aye Lambert and Wilder did what Howe did on a fraction of the budget. Let’s get them in.
-
Just ask him to hold training every day, that should get rid of him.
-
think that went through last week.
-
Seems their plan is to keep Bruce on just long enough to accept nothing managers as his replacement. Looks like it’s worked. I’d have been happy enough under Ashley with this appointment which would be about the best he could do but not to bring in a new era.

We didn't. We got lucky. We dominated Bournemouth
-
Mind if it's Howe or Bruce for another game...welcome to Newcastle Mr Howe.
-
People forget Howe standing clueless on the touchline while a Steve Bruce side ripped his team apart.
-
Much rather Gerrard over Howe. Howe has shown nothing. Think people underestimate Gerrards achievement in getting rangers competitive again. Howe just spent loads of money and when things took a dip for the 1st time relegated a team which was all his doing. No chance he keeps this lot up, not with his wife whinging on either from the south coast or her rented house up here.
-
Yet Rangnick is apparently making himself available.
-
Howe can fuck off. Typical southern fanny.
-
Can't make a decision on sacking Bruce but think we can get Simeone in. ? Laughable link.
-
Yup. And right now we can spend £190m on players coz Ashley was so tight.
-
I'm sure it'll all come good in the end but we're still 7/4 to be relegated (compared to Brentford at 10/1) and until that swings in our favour then I'm going to be nervous and react in kind.
-
Bruce still here No hint of replacements being interviewed No hint of the dof setup getting off the ground. Talk of slow mgt structure with no doa. Other prem clubs trying to stop sponsorship Players fighting Lack of training days All of the internal stuff fucks off if you sack him day 1. It's the easiest decision they will ever have to make and yet he's still here. It was a gift wrapped open goal.

It's a boys club, but we knew that for some time. Rafa brought dignity and professionalism back but all his work was undone within the 1st few weeks of Bruce arriving. Whole club is amateur. Saudis would.be better of folding it and starting again.
