  1. Apparently the lad is handing himself in tomorrow. At least, this is what Twitter is whispering in my ear.

His dads rung the papers and told them he's handing himself in.  Ie;  his parents saw his photo and are shopping him.  Either way,  glad he'll be bought to justice.

  2. I don't think a single Newcastle fan went on to the pitch anyway did they?

Nope,  none.  Didn't even see a rebuffed attempt.

Yes they did. I'm not going to post photos as they are lads I know but they were on the pitch.

I stand corrected.  I was keeping quite an eye out cos I thought if both sets of fans made it over it might kick off.  Turns out we managed that without any Newcastle fans involved anyway.

    a few did

Really?  Where did they go over from?

  4. How ppl can be happy with that result is beyond me.  The players and management have humiliated the club, fans and city.

Perch, smith and routledge can all f*** off to league 2 as that is their level.

Howay man, it's not the first time we've been knocked out the cup by a team lower down the divisions than us. It's not the end of the world

EDIT: And who's 'happy' with the result?

    :)

  5. Just a brief update if anyones interested. Just seen Scott,  who said the police now believe they know who done it. And he's alright,  not even a mark on him.

pleased about that, could you kep us updated as to the identity of the twat as if it wasn't an nufc the press are likely to try and drop it and run away leaving things as they are. cheers.

I think most major news outlets have made it well documented enough now that it wasn't a Newcastle fan.  I'd assume most papers went to print with no idea on the facts and went for an assumption.  Hopefully they'll correct/retract tomorrow.

  6. Awful match, was to the left of the stand n thought the support was good tbh, what are the lyrics to the "follow follow" song that went on the entire second half?

biggest defeat of the match was Tiote's red, which was ridiculous, but with all this "in this day and age" bollocks can't be surprised

We love you,we love you, we love you & that is why we follow, we follow, we follow,  cos we support the boro, the boro the boro & thats the way we like it, we like it, we like it awhooooooooowwwwwwaaahhhhhwwwwwoooooooooo

Thought you'd be pleased,  your local team won :)

    STEVENAGE BEGIN INVESTIGATION INTO ASSAULT

Following the headline grabbing FA Cup 3rd win over Newcastle United this evening, Stevenage officials were dismayed to learn of the assault on full back Scot Laird, after the final whistle had gone. Chairman Phil Wallace has issued this statement this evening

"I wasn't aware of the assault on Scott until long after the game. When I was told I spent a considerable time viewing the incident from all angles in the ESPN mobile unit with representatives of the Police. The footage the police now have is comprehensive and the assailant can be seen clearly and full on from the moment he enters the pitch. He's run on from the East terrace, holding a red and white scarf - the kind that was being sold outside the ground by local traders before the game. He has approached at least 3 Stevenage players, seeming to wait for an opportunity and then, on his way back, has leaned over a group of Stevenage fans celebrating with Scotty and thrown a punch to the side of the head that was designed to inflict maximum damage. Scotty collapsed unconscious and has no recollection of the incident"

" The assailant then continued his run back to the East terrace waving his scarf to disguise his actions and, according to witnesses, was pulled over the fence by one or more accomplices and fled out of the open exit gates. This person seemed intent on making a random assault on a Stevenage player, after a fantastic victory. This is disgraceful behaviour and we will do everything we can to ensure that the assailant is brought to justice and prosecuted. Recognition should not be difficult as the video images of him are crystal clear. This needs to be dealt with quickly and forcibly - not by football because clubs cannot stop someone setting out to with devious intent to inflict harm - but by the law, in that the guilty person should be shown no leniency. This time it was a fist - who knows what it could be next time. We do everything we can as a club to prevent this type of incident, following all the recommended procedures, but it seems this lad has set out to disguise his intent so that he can cause physical harm to one of our players and we will work with the Police tirelessly until this person is identified and prosecuted"
