  1. Just know he's gonna sign some long-term contracts to promote SD for free or something right before he fucks off. Probably rename the ground again tbh.

Squads haven't changed based on what the team played in their last match for a year now. Fwiw, I doubt you can update squads after the season even if you wanted to. You'd have Brighton in the Championship still but with a suddenly much strengthened squad. And you couldn't do promotion/relegation because of the brand new teams in League Two and having to remove two teams from game somehow (just as an English example). Plus anyway, I'm sure licensing would be a huge factor....

No doubt 'FIFA 18' will require a squad update to update all the teams to the latest squads. The game will have been finalised before the Summer transfer window closed. You then get a squad update after the Winter transfer window. That's your lot. The reason for EA not updating the squads more than twice per iteration? £'s, €'s, $'s, etc. One of the main reasons people end up buying each 'FIFA' game is to get the current squads. The game itself barely changes. Squad updates are made available twice a week FWIW.
  4. Was thinking the same, do Germans not work Wednesday afternoons? Lazy fucking forrins mate. Too busy taking their subsidies off YOUR EU money. Can confirm they don't get Wednesday afternoons off work. Just get to spend 2 hours watching football at work instead.
  5. The NZ tour a couple of years back is the only one that comes to mind too.
  6. Then I shall apologise and offer no further comments in fear of a ban...
  7. https://tv.sport1.de/sport1/ - it's going to be streamed live by Sport 1 and currently working here in Germany. Guess it might be blocked in the UK though.

My argument was that live music was better than a speech I can watch back, and I would never ever pay to see Busted, but the opportunity to get drunk and enjoy Year 3000 was one to embrace. I think I stand by the decision.

Yeah, so many people were just talking to each other and paying no attention to what was going on which really didn't help the atmosphere - clearly there for a good spot for the Foos. They should have been headlining The Park stage or something.

Just catching up on sets and this thread now. We heard The Killers were gonna be on John Peel so got down there about two hours early for a good spot, which meant catching all of the Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes set. Never heard of him before but fuck me, the guys mental. Recommend to watch his set back if it's online, it was so good. Being in the middle of that Mr Brightside performance was just madness, we had zero energy for Courteeners after that but one of the highlights of my gig watching life. Foos were great fun but they should have closed the festival, Sheeran just felt flat on Sunday night. Was buzzing for The National too but 4 new songs in a row just killed their set for me. The somewhat redeemed it near the end though. Similar story to Katy Perry, crowd just didn't seem as up for it as expected. Also went to see Busted instead of Corbyn which is a decision my mates will never forgive me for.

My only gripe with SJP if I'm nitpicking is the crowd are a bit too far away from the pitch. Other than that I hope they leave it as it is, without all of the Sports Direct crap all over the place. Nothing they can do about that, annoyingly. Nothing they can do about that in FIFA? They just need to shorten the outer section of the pitch for the most part. I'm sure that could be done. I'm guessing he meant that doing that would impact on the size of the stands to bring them inwards which would then mean changing various other parts including camera positions and whatever else it would have knock-on effects to. It seems quite easy but I guess if it was then they would have just done it by now. Nicky, you need to tell them whats up! Dunno what you're talking about!

  13. Was Lee Charnley placing the bets for him or something and not declaring his winnings?

Named in the PFA team of the year... Alongside Shelvey and Gayle - https://www.thepfa.com/news/2017/4/20/pfa-championship-team-of-the-year
  15. Liked this boy as soon as I saw him play.....if he has picked up the necessary experience he will be a major asset next season as we need a decent attacking LB. He's actually been playing RB all season.
