i know we havent signed any defenders which too has pissed me off but he did genuinely try and sign Woodgate and huth both wanted to go to smogland for whatever reason.

We really should have signed Campbell to add some experience and proper football talent to the back line. I was pissed off when Roeder said he wasn't interested.

spurs deserved their win for their second half display. I didnt see the first half but they were certainly the better team in the second half. I'd be gutted if i was a hammer.

How did Curtis Davies cope against him?

Davies had a good game in all fairness, he seems comfortable and confident on the ball. Saying that though woodgate was the best defender on the pitch by a mile. If Davies is worth £12m then Woodgate is worth double that!

good to see him back but it will take him months to get back to his best. I dont think we will see much at all of the Micheal Owen we know until next season.

Nah my other mates are Man United and Liverpool (havent seen one game live between them i think) We all argue about football but im always cheering against Man United and liverpool like I always have done but not really arsed about West Ham really. Except when we play em!

Tonight on the regional news we struggled to beat some "part timers" according to one local hack.

Or put another way we brushed past Zulte Waregem 4-1 on aggregate. That's the Zulte Waregem who won the Belgian cup and qualified from their group after beating some good European opposition. In other words they did what Jeff Brown's beloved Sunderland have never done and actually won a game in Europe.

he has been pretty poor for what some people were saying was the bargain of the summer. He has imporved though and I hope this is just a temparary poor patch. Even it has been all season.

Not very reliable, but 90% of us think the time will comes when Arsenal & Wenger will bid for our Frenchman, but if we let him go (as i think Zoggy would jump ship at 1st given chance) then i was hoping for a double figure, £6m is pointless.

I dont know, I feel a bit different about Charles. I don't think he would just jump ship at any opportunity if its better for his football future then he will go. I HOPE he stays at Newcastle.

I also think Mowbray is an great prospect as is Billy Davies at Derby. The premiership is the league to prove yourself in though. Mick McCarthy found it hard to adapt. I still find the whole 'we had no money' argument is a little silly, A team who runs away with the championship should do much more than going down with the worst points return in premiership history.

Cant say for sure. I dont know about him as a manager. But i could imagine that he's good at motivating the players getting them to work hard. Maybe he's got other skills as a manager also, but i dont know about that as i said before. But just motivating the players is not enough to be a "top" club manager imo..

Thats his real driving force I believe his no nonsense attitude and his desire to win. Getting the best out of his players by motivation. Time will tell should Sunderland get promoted.
