Thought we did alright. It was an onslaught in the first half from us with no end product. Smith is not a footballer and should be sured for being a con man. Amobi is injured cos he doesnt want to move away from "As you like it". You can bet you bottom dollar Viduka will be injured next season (probably around Xmas time when the weather is much nicer in Oz) and if you look at Owen I don't think he has ever put a full season in since he was a pro due to some injury. So going off that and the fact that that Oba is injured (and just lost his mum) I am looking at the likes of Crouch going to Portsmouth and thinking we should have been in for him. I would be looking to bring Sib back at this rate.

 

Bottom line is our squad is not balanced and not big enough and Ashley should be getting his cheque book out now. If we only sign another two players this transfer window I will be very dissapointed but the way keagan is talking the transfers are fast going from 4-5 in January (BEFORE we released a load of other players) to 2 now.

 

We have just over two weeks to get the players we need which is worrying.

Spot on. End of last season I was expecting a lot of transfer activity and to really put together a team who could push for a decent season. Except we still have a small squad not much talent to be honest and still playing players we know are no good.

 

Yeah fair enough you can argue that we have Martins Owen and Viduka out but you have to have a team big enough to accomofate injuries and suspensions and at the moment we simply do not!

 

You cant really expect to have replacements for Owen Martins and Viduka

 

Its unlucky that we have injuries to all three but the fact remains that after that we have nothing up front. I mean providing we play a 4-3-3 again next season what are we going to do if 2 of them get injured when we know there is nothing in the team or reserves to replace them!?

For a club thats fondly remembered for our attacking football we really have showed nothing tonite. Delivery has been constantly poor and theres been nothing up front.

yeah ive had other people say that, ive tried it in both firefox and windows, cleared cache etc and still no luck!

I think the call up to the England squad and a couple of good performances on the international scene have caused the big guns to really start tracking the player. Yeah he shouldnt have went about it the way he did with slagging of MON to the press.

Nah in all fairness, decent keeper but we do have adequate cover in that area. If he left it wouldnt be the end of the world.

If he wants to go to Arsenal so be it, you cant blame the lad for wanting to trade up. Arsenal are having rough summer with there players looking to go to clubs that are meant/are on the next level up with  Flamini, Hleb, Rosicky & Adebayor either gone, going, or in two minds about staying.

But thing is i dont think he wants to go to arsenal as such. He's just said if arsenal and nufc agree terms and we're willing to let him go then he'd go. It's not as if he's saying 'I really wanna move to arsenal'
