  1. Is there any links for this story, quickly checked wikipedia and all it says is that he has signed an 18 month contract with Newcastle United :s a quick look on Newsnow has showed nothing and google news search for his name has brought up nothing. Or is this just a huge windup which i've been caughty for?

  2. Out of interest shevfa, how should a shocking 3-0 home defeat with no shots, no corners, sh*t tactics and sh*t substitutions be met?

spot on, I'll applaud a team which plays to its full potential and has a good go of it, but i will refuse to applaud a team which does nothing for 90 minutes and gets humiliated.

  3. Stockdale from Darlington, I watch Darlo a bit not so sure about that link like! This Tozer lad, Know nothing about him but like a couple of posts above, I doubt we will be seeing anything of him for a good couple of seasons, might get a couple of run outs in cup competitions first and then maybe moved to league games. If he's any good like.

  4. was nearly in tears when he came on, an absolute legend NUFC should do something to comemorate the guy. I always say the same thing, when he came in he absolutely transformed us from a team who were struggling, not so sure if we would have went down that season but his work for the club was unbelievable.

I always say 'imagine if we had got Robson after Keegan left'

He doesnt look in briliant shape has to be said. theres only one Bobby Robson

  5. I'd stick an offer in, Cacapa and Beye are no spring chickens and I think we need a defender around Wes' age to come in. All in all he's a good defender, not quality but a good 'un. On a free i think it would be criminal not to have a look at him.

  6. yeah same here! I was doing a post on my forum about the ammount of Chelsea players we have signed in recent years, babayaro, parker, geremi...... then i remembered we still had Duff! That really isn't a good sign for him!

  7. Havent been to a Vipers game in about 5 years, a lot has changed since then if i recall? arent they now in the british elite league? I love ice hockey.

Been to a few Vipers games an NHL game in New Jersey woo.

Incidently what was the crowd like? how many?

  8. Appologies if a similar thread has been done before.

What do you think the future holds for Damien Duff at the club, I think we can all agree he wasnt as influential when we got the 'bargain of the summer'. But do you think Allardyce will be able to get the best out of him? It was pretty obvious that last year the fans wanted to see Charles N'Zogbia and now because of the injury Duff has, Charles has got his place.

I'm hoping Duff will turn on the magic and become a good signing but at the moment im not so sure. Thoughts?

  10. What do you mean have a word, most people cringed when Souness was appointed and Roeder was kept on as full time manager mainly because both were poor managers At least With Allardyce you know you're getting a manager who, if given time and the freedom to birng in who he wants will get you up the table.

To be completely honest i couldnt give a fuck if we play bad football as long as we get the points and as was said earlier in this post, if this is part of our learning curve, then so be it.

Yeah Allardyce was brought in before the Ashley era but he's here now, Mort has said that he will go against the norm of sacking a manager too soon and thats news to my ears to be honest.

  11. Thankfully I am quite optimistic he will be sacked after 1 season.

    Clueeless prick with clueless tactics.

What the F*CK will sacking another manager after 1 season do, fucking hell, the reason we struggle at times is fans expect a quick fix overnight, its not going to happen and certainly isn't going to happen when we only have two transfer windows a year!

We need to have a 5 year plan, keep sam in let him have a real bite of the cherry, Sack him after one season then where do we go? get another manager in trying to install his tactics, getting rid of the previous managers players, bringing his own in and having to make them gel, all for us not to get a top 6 position and for people to call for his head and possibly get the chop!!

I was watching a little clip on sky sports website the other day and they were saying that basically we need to have a 5 year plan. Give allardyce some security, if we have not improved by the end of a 5 year plan then look to change things around.

Sacking Allardyce at the end of this season is not just a massive knee jerk but its recipe for disaster!

  12. Great post by parky, you've hit the nail on the head, getting rid of another manager at the end of this season would be fucking stupid, we need some stability in terms of first team staff sacking sam would be a disaster. Nothing is garunteed for Newcastle United, I personally believed we would finish around 8th and I would accept that as a pretty successful season, Portsmouth, Man City, Blackburn are all better clubs than us and there is rarely an 'overnight cure' when it comes to football.

This is the style sam knows and prefers whether we love it or hate it the fact of the matter is, it works successfully, Give Sam the time and let him assemble truely his whole first team squad and then make judgement.
