  1. I'd be tempted to go for Ince over Remy if it was a choice between the two. Obviously Remy is the much better player but Ince is young, English, lower wages and has less baggage. From what i've seen of Remy, he's not one to run at defences, he prefers to beat the offside trap. Same with Cisse, same with Gomis. With Ince, he's a more traditional wide player who would look to get the ball in deeper areas. Saying all that.... would be delighted with either.
  2. I'd take Adebayor + Defoe over Cisse man. Lennon would moonwalk into at least 15 starting line-ups in the league. When you build the team for one man to shine other players will suffer.
  3. Barca fan: Aye it would only solve a few problems. You lot would still be in the shit and we would still be great. Let's keep the status quo yeah lads? Good boys.
  4. I think they have a very talented team and other players would shine more without Bale. in attack I expect Paulinho to be a top signing, Holtby to be much better, Soldado to do very well.
  5. Defoe is decent. No pre-season, buying 4 players would require a long "bedding in" process. I don't think they need 4 anyway.
  6. More than a third then. 1 or 2 players is a small step, 3 or 4 is miles off. We would be in the CL discussion too with 4 class additions ffs.
  7. LB, CB, CF and a winger would suffice IMO, depending on the level of quality of said players. Oh aye, the only need to go out and sign half a team. That'll suffice.
  8. Same thing applies to Darren Bent but somehow Bent is a massive step down.
  9. Tired of this 'Cisse had loads of goals wrongfully ruled out' myth. He scores a few goals that are actually offside too. A few when he first came. The S'hampton beauty was offside. And Ba's goal against Reading was handball. That's 3 points gained 'wrongfully'.
  10. No, no it isnt that at all. When he was part of a midfield that was being ran past time and again by the Germany midfield, it really should be part of his game. And if he had the pace to help stop that kind of onslaught, then he could be considered an International class player. What? You're thinking of Gareth Barry. Who is not as good as Carrick but is also slow
  11. Alonso, Busquets, Pirlo, Xavi.. c'mon what nonsense is that?
  12. I just used it as an example of how limited Cisse is. Apart from goals, what does he offer a team? And now we are bringing in a big lad, who can hold it up a bit (by the looks of it). And a pacy striker that can stretch the opposition. None of this would matter if Cisse scored 25 goals though.
  13. Watch them play. Nobody remembers Didier at the front post?
  14. Hopeless? No. But he was poor last season. Worse than Simpson. Agree with point two. Nah he was as bad as anyone at the start and probably the worst for a large period. Your last point is true.
  15. Cisse/Bent = would make little different if we did a swap. Both have the same weaknesses
  16. Krul. None of the above are crap either. Don't think I need to dig up those Cisse posts with his lack of aerial defending ability. Watch Man Utd. defend a corner. RVP heads out at least 40% of corners, at the near post. Drogba did the same. Carroll was excellent at it. Cisse? Hopeless. It's going into the heart of our defence.
  17. Krul. None of the above are crap either. His perfomances. At 21 or 22, I wouldn't say he was a crap footballer. Obviously, he looked better the season before.
  18. Santon's out of position a ton. He JOGS back, when he needs to sprint back.
  19. He was alright in the first month or so. Crap for the rest of it.
  20. Oh and Cisse was terrible last season and it was mostly his own fault.
  21. Davide Santon was the worst first team performer last season. Coloccini was poor most of the season too. Being slow and weak in the air is such a disadvantage to us. Mentally he's miles ahead of anyone else at the back and most of the league - when he's on form. When he's poor, he's a shambles.
  22. Same is true somewhat of Alonso. Except he's truly devastating when he's not being harassed for 90 minutes.
