  1. Chile in so much trouble now. I'm fucking loving this. So much can happen in the last 40mins.
  2. Paulinho scores. What a mistake by Bravo.
  3. Costa Rica scores to help them out. Mexico as well.
  4. Trinidad & Tobago makes it 2-0. Honduras equalizes. US in trouble now.
  5. #23 also in fault for Messis second goal. Fuck is he doing? He's going to be loved in Argentina if Argentina wins this.
  6. Don't understand this line of thinking tbh, you don't want to see Messi at the WC? Never liked Argentina. Understandable, but the big teams are needed in this tournament. It’s going to be s*** with or without them, same with 2022. It's really not. Don't compare Russia with Qatar in terms of what they bring to football. Going to be interesting watch in the Peru and Colombia game if Paraguay scores as then both teams have to win to qualify. Going to be an open game if it happens. Also, just seen Messis first goal. That is some pathetic defending from #23. Just let Messi run freely into the box.

  8. Don't understand this line of thinking tbh, you don't want to see Messi at the WC? Even I want them in ffs.
  9. Trinidad just scored against the US.
  10. Man Argentina are absolutely shit tbh. They're up only because they have Messi.
  11. Gabriel almost scores for Brazil. Would put Chile in huge trouble.
  12. I'm thinking the same. But Messi will get another at least.
  13. Usually the more it progresses, but as Gabriel Jesus said in Bolivia they're tired during the warm up already. There's basically a complete lack of oxygen in Bolivia at 4000m . As for Quito it's not the same as it's on a more human altitude (2900m), but they'll get tired the more the game progresses. I still do not understand why FIFA allows this idiocy to continue. Without exaggeration, they are putting the life and health of players at stake in Bolivia and to a lesser degree in Quito. Messi may need to get a third here, btw. Ecuador seem pretty up for the match. Completely agree.

  15. And here we go. He's angry. They'll win this. I mean they have to ffs.
  16. Messi to take over in this game. Has to happen. He can't let them not go through ffs. It'll be hilarious if they don't qualify for about a week or so but after that it will suck. Argentina needs to be in this World Cup.
  17. Ecuador makes it 1-0. Argentina need to score two in Quito now to qualify. Unbelievable.
  18. No, not allowed to play with Messi so staying on the bench. The reason is he doesn't fit Messi. The Messi bubble has to burst. He is not Maradona who can carry the team on his own. The Messi & friends belief is the main reason why the qualification is a complete failure. You don't know what you're talking about. The main reason Argentina may not qualify is that Messi missed games through injury. The stats back this up. He created 5 clear chances for teammates last night. What more are you expecting him to do? Messi played in all last three draws. If you are saying he doesn't deserve to be criticised, you are telling me he isn't as great as people saying right? If you are saying he is on par with Pele and Maradona then tell me would they be free from critics for these three draws? He doesn't deserve to be criticised for last night, no. Did you see the last three games? He creates chances that others don't score. Football is totally different to when Pele and Maradona were playing. Defences are much better organised than they were then. Honestly that Maradona goal in 1986. Unbelievable goal but can you imagine a top or even average international team these days allowing anyone to score a goal like that? I can't. Don't even get me started on Pele. Completely different sport in those days. I've seen quite a bit of Argentina in the qualifiers and you can't honestly suggest he is the same player for the national team as he is for Barcelona. It's quite clear there is a mental block or something there for him when he plays for Argentina, regardless of whether he did well last night or not he's usually below his standards when he plays for the national team. There is no reason for Argentina to be where they are and a big fault goes to Messi. Haven't won in their last four games and he's scored two goals from open play in the whole qualifiers and has two assists to that. Even Coutinho has missed about 5-6 games this qualifiers and come off the bench for a majority of them and has scored and assisted more. Messi is from another planet when he plays for Barcelona, but it's quite clear that he is still human when he plays for Argentina. Also, if Argentina qualifies, I think they might do a Brazil from 2002. Struggle to qualify and then win the whole thing. They certainly have the players to do it. Blasphemy.
  19. What an exciting last round in the qualifiers that will be. Peru v Colombia. Both will be playing for a place in the WC. Colombia needs a draw, but Peru are in great form and are tricky to play against. Ecuador v Argentina. Argentina has to win. Paraguay v Venezuela. Paraguay win and they're not qualified only if Argentina, Chile/x and Colombia/Peru wins. Brazil v Chile. Chile have to draw to make sure to qualify.
  20. Yep. Merino has been very nervy IMO. Get them both ticking (not just this match) and we could be in business. Merino isn't looking good at all today in my opinion. Shelvey doing much better.
