Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to go and get a consultation from Pardew about open heart surgery or his views on the middle eastern conflict. I just object to the notion that we know more about football than he does. That we can somehow see Ban Arfa's upside and he's just too dumb to notice. That we know that we'd be better off playing a 4-3-3 and in his 15 years of management and throughout his extensive professional training he's just never heard of it. It's stupidity. The biggest barriers to getting your UEFA badges are 1) time 2) money 3) being affiliated with a club. In that regard being an ex-pro with contacts helps get your foot in the door. But you still have to put in the work. They're not just handing the licences out to any ex-pros who happen to want them. The man has a clue what he's doing. It's just not working for several reasons; players aren't performing (his fault), players aren't of a high enough quality (club's fault). Doesn't mean shit that he's managed in 15 years. I can say the same about me and my family and go to lengths about professional contracts and shit, but that means fuck all. Pardew is absolutely clueless, matter of fact is that a manager that has managed for that amount of years should after 4 years or so in charge at least be able to integrate a footballing philosophy onto his team, but no. The simplest of all things is where he's failed at. He's a muppet and a con artist.

GUVNOR I feel like Jean Paul Marat FWIW I read TheGuv's post as a blog, and felt it was more of a blog. An article is something else, usually much less appealing to me in moments like these. Excellent blog post Guv. Someone give him a blogging knighthood.

I genuinely think you're wrong. I genuinely hope you're right.
-
If that is true he just dug himself a hole there The Dilsh. Seriously, he's basically saying some of the things is true and that he had the conversation. Should've kept quiet
-
"Title holders Liverpool unearth another gem" Can just see that shit. And Pardew sitting in 18th saying it's not easy to win when you sell your best players...
-
I genuinely don't think he'd be able to win the league with any of the squads, so no matter what player or size of investment he has at his disposal will he succeed. He's a terrible football manager, simple as that really. Ashley being a wanker and not knowing is another serious problem as well. The sooner both are gone the better.
-
Luca Those fucking UEFA licenses. Isn't every football manager in top-flight football required to do them? There are some absolute thick ones managing out there and Pardew is one of them. That was the worst argument of the day.
-
Martinez is a better manager, without question. If he was available I'd sack off Pardew and have him in a second. But I don't think Pardew is completely f***ing useless. He's probably not worthy of any more time. He hasn't been good enough in what I consider key areas of management; motivating players and getting confidence players, like Cisse, playing consistently well. He's on borrowed time. He's a mixed bag and nowhere near Martinez in terms of quality. Fair enough if that's your opinion. I'll stick to mine and I've got pretty good evidence to mine that he's absolutely clueless. Individual brilliance has saved him time and time again.

That's what stuck out to me the most last night. He got incredibly defensive over my points about Ben Arfa and he argued that only Debuchy likes him IIRC Do have a hard time imagining Marv and MBiwa not getting along with him if the reports about his comments to Pardew are true.
-
Luca. Look at Everton and tell me how they're doing well. Have they had a larger investment than us past seasons? Is Naismith, Stones, Barry (who many called past it at City), Tim Howard and other really top 4 quality players? Osman? No way. They have gotten hold of a great manager and have a much brighter future. We're stuck here mid-table for the unforeseeable future with this guy in charge.
-
That's a load of smack and you very much know so. You're only defending Cuba or 'Mericuh.
-
Our squad was still thin last season. Cisse had stopped scoring (and Pardew should have fixed that). But we still didn't have a period like we have over the last few months where we were getting routinely tonked. Our form before selling Cabaye - while up and down - was still much better on the whole. There's a very obvious contrast. You completely disregard from the fact that our squad was in terms of quality still easily a top 8 side last year.
-
But obviously we didn't have Remy then... Pardew has been a shit manager, some of us called him out the season we finished 5th. Remember backtracking on it at the end because I got so much shit on here, but he's an absolutely terrible manager and always has been (at least in my eyes). The guy benched Tevez and Mascherano for a shit West Ham side, says it all.

Also wouldn't this make the vast majority of auto-biographies pretty much unpublishable? Sorry just seen this part of the conversation, you're allowed to repeat conversations you've had with people in written form ffs, it would be completely mental if you weren't Cuba is in the US, and everything there is a crime so I do forgive him for that post.

No doubt about it. People getting at TheGuv and completely missing what Elliot has said Some ''fans'' huh. This whole club is rotten.
-
Of course my article isn't professional! I'm not a journo ffs Some people probably don't realize it's not a real article. I think you've done a splendid job.

Don't think it can be justified, myself. Really makes me feel uneasy seeing stuff like this being "published" on the internet. When I call people to do interviews with them, there is a clear and defined moment when things become on the record and I cannot - and will not - use anything outside of that time-frame, even though I am rolling tape well before that moment. Really poor form to publish this conversation on the internet, especially when it has such strong opinions about the club, its employees, and its supporters. You've put an employee of the club in a very precarious position based on a conversation he had with you in a nightclub. Unjustifiable to post it on website like TrueFaith under the guise of an article. If this is a trap for me then I'm in, those were my feelings pretty much exactly. Not a trap. As someone who writes articles for a reputable news organization, "articles" like this really get under my skin. If this creates a s***-storm for Elliott, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some legal action. This serious libel. You're actually surprising me here.

No doubt about it.

Erm, well I posted on here when p*ssed. Then i stuck the story on here. Peer pressure made me run the story Seriously though. No. If anything I've done is 'unethical'. Fair enough. Ban me from the ground, hound me for it. But I can't be arsed with this club anymore. Anything to bring them down You're a hero. Next time bring a tape recorder

Of course. You don't think it's slightly unfair on Elliot? An NUFC employee telling people in public that Keegan is a poor manager, not as good as Pardew and that 8th or 9th is our level? Aye, my heart bleeds. You don't say things like that "in confidence" man. He's as stupid for telling an NUFC fan those views as he is for having them in the first place. Course he is, I never said otherwise. It's just a dodgy way of scoring internet journalist points, that's all. Isn't it a way of trying to spread the word about the utter catastrophe of the current ownership and what it's doing to our club from top to bottom? You could say that, yes. But the principal of how it was done still applies IMO. What principals should the Guv be held to? He's shared the details of a conversation that took place in public. What's wrong with that? I do think hoying them in an article and reporting it like news is a bit far fetched. Should have remained on this place for us to ridicule him. However Ian used it perfectly to his own agenda as usual. Thankfully people are less stupid these days and can see right through him. I don't have any agenda at all, I don't even want to keep Pardew any more. I've no idea why I get such a hard time for it. I disagree with loads of people all the time, but I can still discuss it properly. Why not just have "everything about Ashley, Pardew and NUFC is evil" printed at the top of a blank web page? This is a forum FFS. Perhaps you need to change your 'style' then as you are winding up a lot of people on here by the looks of it with the way you are posting. 1 or 2 people getting wound up then you could say they are being sensitive but when you are antagonising so many people with your comments then it looks like you have an agenda just to be contrary and just to wind people up. But surely you have to question whether the reaction is reasonable? I asked a question about how an article was obtained and here's 3 pages of abuse. That doesn't seem normal to me. There was an implied criticism as to TheGuv's motives for publishing the article too, 'Internet Journalists Points' . That read very poorly. I'm all for these raw encounters with players being relayed. It's all to rare we are able to lift the veil and see what is going on at our club, away from 'the Bishops' influence and insipid Premier League PR. Clearly people can apply their own critical reasoning to the material in question. The reaction you felt is partly down to your focussing on how this information was obtained at the ignorance of what was was said. What was said is a far bigger priority for fans. First, no point was made about what was said, very specifically. Secondly, I think what is a priority for most fans is irrelevant, we're allowed to discuss anything. As for Guv's motives, I don't know them. Maybe it was a purely selfless act to expose how a current Newcastle Utd player wants to stick up for his manager. If so then sorry. It was You're a better man than me. http://solutionproblem.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/you-dont-say.png

Don't see what's wrong with ''exposing'' him. If he said that s***, than if he's man enough like Ronaldo he can stand for his words. Professionals should know who to speak about what with, then again he's not a real professional... In what way? You're kidding right? He's an absolute shit footballer for a start and like I said, if the story is true than he's an absolute scumbag and has acted nowhere near to how a professional should. Sure on paper he's getting paid so he's a ''professional'', but if you can't look beyond the point than you really are as ridiculous as some suggest.
