As stated before, we are better than all these teams from 8th to 20th. We should finish 7th, anything else is a failure. Norwich, WBA and Sunderland will probably fight for the number 8th spot, and any of them above us would boil my piss ffs.

This season, top 10 would be progress and top 6 would be unreal. He has managed us into a position where 4th or 5th is achievable, but I don't think it's fair to suddenly revise expectations because of the good job he's done so far. Our squad isn't that good, 3/4 of our first team is. Norwich are 8th. So if they finish above us we should still be happy?

Agree, problem with Pardew is he persists with the mediocre players though. Guthrie or ben Arfa should be ahead of Obertan or even Raylor.

But against QPR when he came on we controlled the game. We were utter shite for the first 20mins until he came on, we then scored and were shite again. Against Fulham any creativity or anything positive came from him and him only along with Guthrie. He scored and had an assist. His three worst game has come in three of four cup matches. He has been our best player on the pitch offensively for 4 or 5 games. (two of them against the leagues top team). Im sorry but I dont buy this he hasnt been good enough, because he probably has a higher percentage of good games than anyone in this squad bar Krul, Colo and Ba.

Got to agree with Jayson. I thought and also hoped Ryan Taylor would have been nowhere near the first team as i didn't rate him at all. But people have to admit, the guy has had a fantastic season and shoved a lot of stick (from me too) down our throats. Gotta give tha lad credit really, but he doesn't get it as he is keeping Ben Arfa out of the team, so he has joined the band of people getting slated. Shit post, he was also the weakest link in our team for many many games, so what is your point? He a lucky charm or something? Fantastic season?

This point of view is just as annoying. The main reason people want Ben Arfa to play is because he is more likely to help get a good result than Obertan or Raylor. The fact that he hasn't been given any time in the team whilst the other two are given numerous free passes is the reason he gets talked about a lot and why the frustration is building. It's also annoying when Ben Arfa has a shitter too that he never gets slated like any other player. I mean christ, the pitch, the defense, everything got the blame at Brighton. Just keep it fair. I think most people do keep it fair. Some will come up with excuses. But I rather have goals and assist in few games giving us points than that pile of shit that Obertan is. I find it also fair to say that Ben Arfas performances against Everton, Blackburn and winning us the game at Bolton has risen the expectation of him. People dont raise expectations its the performance of the players. I mean no one expects Danny Simpson to be a good right back ever, we all might hope but no one expects. Ben Arfa has proven he has the quality, why not try and bring the best out of him than try and bring the best of nothing in Obertan or even Raylor in footballing sense??

Aye, Luiz went from a success in his first few games, to a horrible defender. I defended Ramires last year when he was pisspoor (and I was right) but Luiz is fucking indefensible. So fucking shit I cringe everytime I see him picked for the national side.
