    exactly.

what would fair market value be for a 3 year sponshorsip of a stand?

Fair market only comes in to it I think if it is a related party which I would take to mean an organisation that is significantly controlled by the same people. If it’s a third party who just has business dealings I don’t think it applies. Will let others more knowledge correct if wrong.

surely PIF can do some clever money laundering through a few companies and finally come to a third party sponsorship deal with someone.

    eg renaming the east stand.

I don’t know why they don’t get third parties who they have business relations with but don’t own to sponsor us. They must let out billions in contracts to unaffiliated companies. Bump up the contract to cover the sponsorship.

The thing that always gets forgotten in these points is that they're elite sportspeople, playing competitively at a level where every little advantage counts. If you're flying for 25 hours there, 25 hours back you're automatically at a disadvantage vs players who haven't done that, regardless of their level of quality. Your advantage is being needlessly compromised for a marketing campaign.

The morality over how they're compensated is irrelevant really as it has nothing to do with the basis of the complaint.

To be fair they’re not going to slum it in economy, they’ll be waiting in private lounges, sped through security checks, and chauffeured in luxury coaches. South American/African/Asian players plying their trade in Europe make long journeys for continental championships like the Copa America and they can perform.

edit: I’m aware Australia is one of the longest flights but the general point stands.

Gordon a victim of his penalty winning actions earlier this season. This one was fairly clear.

He's right though. We keep the ball too long between the defenders, inviting a Man Utd press onto us that we aren't able to play past and end up hoofing it to their defence.

All true, the midfield needs to get on the ball earlier, just hate our name coming out of his mouth.

Tough to move someone on who is out for 9 months with an ACL like

He signed a one year contract extension I recall so by the time he recovers his contract will nearly be up. Unlikely to be further extended as too risky. He’ll be let go but if he hasn’t fully recovered the club will likely still provide medical/physio support.

Typical the Germans make a resurgence this year and the English clubs falter. Which could in turn give them extra spots in Europe and the English losing out.

Premier league shot itself in the foot with all the self imposed restrictions.
