That’s not improvement they were all in the squad this time last season.

Think you’d struggle to find many fans that would suggest this window has been anything other than underwhelming (so far). yes we kept all our big hitters but most clubs around us have also kept theirs and are strengthening their squads. We have been told two key areas were identified RW & CH and we are 5 days from the first game and neither have been filled. Not saying we won’t make signings but Iets not pretend it’s been a good window so far

Massive difference between ‘elite’ touch and ‘poor’ touch. No one with a poor or bad touch could do the things with a ball ASM could do and the fact he did them while at great speed & pace highlights this. for all his faults his touch and control wasn’t one of them

Trippier was effectively doing the job of the RW last season. He got 10 assists in 28 games

I’ve never seen a Newcastle player do things with a ball like him other than maybe Ben Arfa. His close control and touches were brilliant. He had his faults but don’t think his touch was one of them. His decision making and final ball was the main frustration iirc

can’t you read? I said I don’t blame the club it’s PSR that’s the issue. At no point did I say I expected anything. Doesn’t change the fact the window has been frustrating and underwhelming

I don’t dislike him. He seems a great guy but he’s not good enough. He doesn’t get on the bench never mind start for any of the top half sides. It’s no surprise no one wants him

Not really meaning this deal. I mean the whole window. Selling Anderson and Minteh, signing a free transfer, a raw kid striker albeit with potential and the whole bizzare goalkeeper situation. We’ve still got everyone of the players we want shot of even Ryan Fraser and now there’s talk of keeping Almiron and not getting the RW we’ve been told all summer was ‘our priority’ Personally I think Guehi will sign next week and it’ll be a great signing but the window has been as underwhelming as it gets in my opinion
