Doubt R.E.M. will ever get back together, they did things properly in terms of sharing the songwriting royalties etc, so none of them need the money. Aye, maybe one day for a benefit gig or something? They were always a proper band for me the minute I started getting into them (early 90s along with Nirvana (found their music first)), in it for the music the most and to a man they all seem like top people with no real egos or their own self interests to ruin any music legacy. Again Stipe is up there with Kurt and Keegan as idols of mine. They all got me through some tough times as a teenager/young man in the early to mid 90s. If only Kurt never died I’m sure they would have collaborated and produced some amazing stuff Saw REM a couple of times, they were brilliant. Saw a video of Michael getting interviewed about doing a song/gig to raise money for something or other and he basically said Band wouldn’t get back together

They would be wearing the tea towels in tribute to the people who are bombing Yemen and getting rid of journalists though In your imagination bubba Give me a different explanation so Daft Geordie humour? Same way as you get pillocks dressing up as kangaroos to support Australia in cricket, or the Barmy army wearing silly costumes around the world supporting England. Not everything is meant to be taken seriously, even if it may look support for evil regimes to some eyes.I really think these people wearing tea towels are just having a laugh, I doubt their intentions are evil. Abusing Khashoggi's wife is a different level. I agree with this, it’s daft excitement. Personally I wouldn’t do it but that’s not my kinda humour It's toilet humour. These are the sorts of people who will buy a spotify account to listen to Sweet Caroline and Penny Arcade on repeat, whilst swilling their fosters and going to watch England play cricket "for the atmosphere". Also agree with this

Aye it’s got to be Amanda & co for me. At least we have a fair idea what their plans will be. I cannot take being sold by Ashley for more of the same mid/lower table bollocks

I am tickled by the accusation that journalists and human rights activists are just pretending to care about a brutal regime in order to disguise the genuine source of their loathing and disgust, a football team. The thing is, even the journalists who think, quite rightly, that the onus should not be on Newcastle fans to police this sort of thing will quickly lose all sympathy for that position when they see the way some are going on. Rory Smith, who was very even handed on SPM has already had a go at The Mag today for a ridiculous hit piece on Amnesty that they have since deleted. Yes true but it was deleted because so many Newcastle fans had a go at the mag. A large amount of fans get it He said as much. That's the best thing we can do, nip that shit in the bud. Nice one. I’ll give it a listen
