I'm not convinced by this pair tbh, they don't look on the same wavelength but it's early days. They looked good as a pair last weekend IMO, and have played Man United & Arsenal in their other two games, playing well against Arsenal. A decent start, certainly nothing to be "not convinced by" I'm not asking you to be convinced or not convinced, I'm just saying how I saw it. They seem to end up a fair way apart and don't look like they are reading each other's play as a unit at times. But then it's only three matches in so that's maybe why. Possibly yes

i didn't think taylor was that bad. he made quite a few good contributions. Precisely, I can't understand how Butt's poor performance only let Colocinni down of the two centre halves? No surprise to see you jumping to Taylor's defence again. he's right though, and i've been pretty critical of taylor recently. colo didn't perform any worse than he did in our first 3 games imo, and taylor played a lot better than he did against manure imo, but arsenal were just better than us. But Coloccini was better than both Taylor and Beye today without doubt, even if he wasn't at his best. I really can't be bothered with the "he was better this week" which is as bad as the Martins vs Owen shite, but people seem to be running Colo down as a way of deflecting criticism from what was a worse performance by Taylor. I'd say its exactly the other way around. No one wants to say that Colo was just as poor as Taylor when that really is the case.

Can't believe the differences in Taylor's and Coloccini's ratings. Thought they were pretty much on par today. I thought Coloccini's challenge early on in the box could have easily been a penalty. Lunged in inside the box and didnt get to the ball. And he made some weird runs forward when the ball was still in dangerous position just outiside our box. As already said Taylor's running towards our own goal was ridiculous. Thought he was gonna run all the way to Given on one occasion. Then concedes the freekick just outside the box I know we all want Coloccini to be brilliant but come on! They were both quite shit today but it's Arsenal so I wouldn't worry about it...
