This is a fantastic advert for Newcastle for young players with drive and potential. We signed Anthony Gordon as someone with potential, hounded out of his old club (literally), and was allowed to showcase himself and as a result moves to Barcelona. These sorts of player progression stories are what will allow us to bring across other players in a similar mould. We will benefit from their drive and ambition, and then we can profit on any potential sale. We need to be seen as a platform like this until we become the club that players in their peak want to sign for.
