Ameobi could have been looking at a 20 goals season had he stayed fit. He's always had a bit of quality in him but always been way too slow, if he just did everything he does 1,5 times faster (like how he always is caught offside) he would be a great striker. But he has all the time he needs in order to do his thing in this division.
Pretty nice that Ameobi, Nolan, Lovenkrands and Carroll all had their patches of form in perfect succession during the season
Wouldn't be too far fetched to say 30 as a reasonable estimation in hindsight, seeing what Carroll and Loven and other teams' strikers have done.

Best leftback I've ever seen wear a Newcastle shirt. FACT!
Love the guy, this place must have had a meltdown
Now let's just pop over to that Forest forum.....

Take a step back every one screaming for Carroll's head. He's the best striker we have right now and is one of the key reasons we've been doing so well. Hughton could do a Souness and get rid, a la Bellamy, or he can manage the situation. Hughton will plump for the latter and diffuse this.
Steven Taylor would have had as much to do with this as Andy Carroll, he's not stupid. You don't wind up someone who is obviously from the Joey Barton school of anger management and I can imagine Hughton will be just as livid with Taylor too.
Don't hate on the lad for this, he is very young and is maturing in terms of his personality and learning adulthood let alone football in the first team of his home town club. Give the lad a break, get behind him, lets hope Hughton can steer this anger towards the opposition instead.

Was thinking about this recently and brought a good debate between me and a friend It seems for every power there's a good counter. What would yours be? There's lots of really great reasons why any one of a hundred abilities would be good to have.
I'll plump with a telekinesis, pick up the ball and move it with the power of your mind into the goal.

Hmm I don't like that predictor much, doesn't seem to be very accurate.
I had us down as beating Doncaster 31-0

I'd much rather not have technology in football, pleased with this.

Best seems to be suffering from exactly the same the same thing Carroll was at the start of the season when paired with Shola, it just doesn't look like a partnership and where Shola was the one getting into the right positions at the start of the season while Carroll was doing pretty much bugger all Carroll is now the one getting into those positions and Best is the one looking poor.
I personally think we needed something completely different so it does look a bit of an odd signing however I won't write the lad off yet as even though he is used to this league some players take a while to adjust to a new side, especially when they aren't being paired with a suitable partner.
It is a shame this seems to be stunting Rangers growth though, especially as if the lad started getting a few goals and building confidence he would be adding to what at times is excellent hold up play and vision so starting to look a real prospect. He is still fairly young though, will hopefully get a few more chances till the end of the season then loaned out for the whole of the next.
chopra would have been a perfect foil for carroll to get us straight back up

What London hoodoo

Cant see him being dropped now.

What a waste of time Best is, what a waste of £2million.
It's ok because he's under 26 we can sell him on at a profit. Oh wait.

I must admit , i've copied CH 60th substitution tactic on FM.
same here
Me three
I've been doing it since CM2, and Hughton copied me.

Oh dear ...
Allegedly ... England boss Fabio Capello has phoned Wayne Bridge to tell him John Terry has lost the captain's armband ... and could he look under his bed for it.
The first of many I reckon

There's only one reason, it's all down to the management of the players, and we've had terrible managers since Bobby. And for this we can mostly blame Shepherd

Got that came out big! sorry about that

Aside the stupid thread title, I think we are more likely to be active in this window, if possible - than others under the Ashley reign.
We are top with a very good chance of promotion, a little money spent now could go along way and give excellent returns, if back in the premiership.
Ashley might be stupid but surely he can see that??
Bookmarked.
wum all over it tbh

We'll probably get one loan signing in, and sell someone that we don't want to sell.
