He was my favourite player whilst he was with us, I think we took for granted just how effective a fast player through the middle was. The kind of player I'd love us to have now. He didnt have the best end product but scored some crackers for us. The goal against Everton, 3 touches of the ball from the halfway line. 

 

Can't deny it was a great bit of business getting rid though, and although he was a bit of an arse, I do feel a bit sorry for him.

I agree with that. 

Sign him asap, keep a settled back four for the rest of the season and have them accustomed to playing together as a unit if we get promoted.

He' s young and full of promise, tries hard and gets forward, he needs to work on attacking a bit but can't fault his effort.

Wasn't there something earlier in the season about a consortium headed by the Shep to take over and bring in Shearer? This was before Al took over for the last 8 games.

Perhaps this is the same bunch back again and hopefully they still want the same man in charge.
