  1.

He’s coming for Rafa in press conferences again

i'd love to see a detailed analysis of that comparison from him, if only we had a dedicated media who could look into it

Certainly won’t be anywhere near as good as our muscle injury reduction under Rafa Benitez.

  2. It would be pretty unlucky TBF.

Naaaah. I remember when people said that about West Ham but one team had 19, another mid 20s so naturally 3rd bottom would be expected to have a few more points than normal.

Anyone know the year West Ham got relegated?

I’d be quite interested to see that league table.

Don’t bother, it’s too depressing to look at compared to now.

    Just seen 3rd

  4. Steve Bruce and David Moyes as gainfully-employed Premier League managers in the year of our lord 2020. You love to see it.

Grouping those two together is a genuine insult to Moyes.

I wonder what it would take for Howe to be sacked. For a team that is now meant to be fairly established in the league, their results and performances have been horrendous recently. Has he earned the right to take Bournemouth down?

That's a really good question - it's a paradox that the longer he keeps them up, the less valid it is to stick with him if they go down.

They certainly should be doing better than they are. I remember thinking Wilson, King, Brooks and Fraser was one of the better attacking forces outside the "top six", but they've all been poo this season

Not after what he’s spent no.

Thing is he’d be the best man to win the Championship though.

Managers like Howe, Farke, Jokanovic are more suited to the Championship than low Premier League clubs you wouldn’t want to be in a relegation fight with them 3.

You mean the same Eddie Howe who has kept Bournemouth up for the last 4 seasons, that one's not good at keeping small clubs up?

I said in a relegation fight this is his first relegation fight let’s see if he has the minerals to get them out of it.

  5. He’ll do well to avoid 6 defeats in a row. Norwich at home could be huge for him.

If he losses these four it’ll be 8 losses in the last 10 games.

    Wolves

    Chelsea

    Everton

    Norwich

    Arsenal

Unfortunately Ashley would be more likely to give him a contract extension than sack him.

  7. I've been involved in the game for 40 years but I've not seen anything like that.  We lost four players in 20 minutes and gifted them two goals.

"You get injuries by forcing players to play tired. That's not an excuse, it's a fact. I was concerned before the match, I made that clear.

"You don't want it to happen that way. It could have been five we lost because (DeAndre) Yedlin broke his hand (within a minute of arriving on the field), he manfully played on.

"In all the years I've been involved I don't think I've been involved in a crazy 15 minutes like that.

"I said it a month ago that to ask players to play four games in 10 days is ludicrous. Today is the consequence....Saturday will be our fifth game in something like fifteen days.

"In the first half, I thought we gave the ball away too cheaply - that’s what I was agitated for - and we’ve given the ball away in an awful position, which has cost us.

"We’ve lost four players with muscle injuries. We won’t know how bad those injuries are until they get scanned. It’s been a bad week."

  8. Only 4 of the other 91 league clubs have scored less goals than Newcastle this season.

Yet Robbie Savage, Jeff Stelling, Charlie Nicholas, Jenas, Kilbane, The Chronicle says we’ve been attacking :nope:

  9. We're fucked and this cunts not going to get sacked.

 That's the wildest bit. He's completely secure in his position.

The Chronicle readers wanted him to have a statue built last week.

  10. That’s 4 losses in the last 5 games.

And if West Ham beat Bournemouth Brucies mags will be just 5 points from the relegation zone.

    With these games next

    Wolves

    Chelsea

Bruce has us sinking like a stone.
