  1. Rodgers playing system for system.

                        Schmeichel

                  Evans Soyuncu Fuchs

    Ricardo                                      Chilwell

              Tielemens Ndidi Maddison

                      Pérez  Iheanacho

  2. The official announcement appeared on the group's website which indicates that it has invested a lot of money in Dalian football, 3 billion RMB for the construction of a tip top training center in Dalian as well as the establishment of a dozen teams (U12-U21)

Have signed agreements and invested in 10 of the best primary schools in Dalian to develop football. And the paragraph ends by saying, If Wanda does not invest in the future of football in Dalian, then what do we do?

Wanda therefore issues a sort of ultimatum to the CFA and the government of Dalian (who came crawling to ask them to become a shareholder in the club). Either Wanda becomes the owner or they retire and they will set up another club next door.

  3. Breaking News: Wanda Group announced they can not invest Dalian Yifang anymore in the way they have done in the past 2 years. Wanda also said they will attempt to launch their own club instead of the CSL outlet Dalian Yifang, which they have not held any stake yet.

(Preliminary) Interpretation of Wanda's announcement: (1) It seems they have not gained control of Dalian Yifang, which is possibly an asset of the local government (2) It is an ultimatum. If their requirements are not met, they will exit and launch a new club of their own.

    What the hell

Where's that from?  Wanda took full control a few years ago, they had to sell their stake in Atletico(?) to get it done iirc.

Statement is on the Wanda group website.

News sites are now reporting it.

I’m guessing there might be a mutual termination of Rafa Benitez’s contract if the Wanda group pull out the club?

  5. When Nickson travelled to Poland to the European Under-21 Championships, for example, he watched two future Newcastle players: Mikel Merino for Spain, and Jacob Murphy for England. The former’s father, Angel, was close with Benitez, and so was his recommendation, while the latter is believed to have been put forward by the recruitment department and then agreed to by the manager.

The likes of Salomon Rondon, Javier Manquillo, Joselu, Florian Lejeune and Fabian Schar were also Benitez-led recruits.

    [The Athletic]

Ah so it was Nickson who pushed for us to spend £12million on Murphy :knuppel2:

  6. He’d be a good replacement for Eriksen.

yeah very true, son/alli/kane in front of him would be nuts

He’d massively help with their current problem when Dier-Sissoko play together of not having someone their defence can play passes into and make them play.

  7. Have rated Grealish from the championship days. He's a quality player.

A number of people on here said he was no good at the time though, and we're quite adamant and cocky about it, which I found quite irritating at the time.

Yeah I got him wrong he’s impressed me in the Premier League.

  8. It just looks like a team of headless chickens with a lack of coordination in its pressing. Its just too easy for intelligent teams to pick teams like Newcastle off on the counter attack and score.

Exactly like the Norwich game in Brucies 3-5-2.. picked apart.

  9. He's realised people won't pay the ticket prices so he may as well give them away free. Good PR work so it's a no brainer. It lures in new fans also. A full house cheering the team on to get a higher placed finish also will more than cover the lack of ticket sales.

 so what you’re saying is an empty stadium did have an effect? I despair honestly. For a little cockney spiv Ashley hasn’t half managed to get a shit load of northerners eating his shit on a daily basis

  10. Based on that clip, he sounded confident but it was still full of shit quotes.

‘out of certain managers, I have the highest win rate' (or something out along those lines.)

Yeah, which certain managers are those? The crap ones?

    'that's what I do, I win'.

'strong, good and attacking footballing team'.

    Yeah...? when?

'the owners though I was good enough to get another opportunity here'

 really? Why didn't they keep you on, then?

Decent manager, but blowing his own trumpet far too much there.

    God Bruce type stuff.

You’d think these managers would have the record for the biggest Real Madrid and Liverpool wins in Champions League history(Both 8 v 0)

Or the biggest Real Madrid win in 60 years(10 v 2)

Or be Real Madrid’s highest goal rate manager in the last 60 years(2.76 goals a game)

Or have the record for the biggest goalscoring win in Chelsea's PL history(8 v 0)

Or have the highest scoring team in the Premier League over a season outscoring Fergie.

Yet Jeff Stelling says at least Newcastle now have an attacking manager in Bruce

Didn’t know it was Bruce who had the elite attacking records.
