  1. Have no idea where this lad came from, but his class, love him already :D

Just shows again that you can get cheap players that are really good, thinking that we have no excuses to buy some forwards and center backs in the summer. We just have to fill the squad out a bit.

    Will be a class player.

  2. He set us up perfectly yesterday and made good subs. Sure we didn´t created so much but we could still have won and I still think that we didn´t lose was the most important. Will be nervous that we have to win next week (a scoring draw and we are out) but maybe that´s a good thing, now we can´t sit back. Hopefully Cissé is back though and Ben Arfa takes Obertans place.

Anyway, as I said, Pardew did a good job. Ben Arfa in form would have buried that!

  3. Obviously great managers will influence a game far more than their usual share, same for great players.

That is a great way of putting it.

That makes no sense at all. As been said in this post coaches/managers has a huge impact in a team in many ways. mrmojorisin75 said it perfect.

Pardew is not a good manager, he's not a terrible one, but he's certainly not good enough for us.
  4. Welbeck has done a good job defensively but those two chances he missed might come back to bite him and his team mates on the arse.

Think he has been good. Don´t know what chances you talk about. Wasn´t easy chances if you ask me.

One of them was.... the open goal from 2 yards after Vidic hit the post and the other while it wasn't easy Rooney would have scored it.

    It was offside anyway.

Aye it was but it didn't look like it was going to be given as offside, could be wrong mind.

The referee blew for offside :)

  5. I enjoyed the tactical battle of the first leg, but that half was dour. Man Utd's plan is to keep shape/hassle Real Madrid and get the 0-0, with Welbeck/RvP/Nani as wildcards to nick a goal. Those three are all defending energetically though, so it's a good gameplan, but a poor spectacle.

I enjoy this match of the exact reason. Especially Man Utd has completely won the tactical battle. Ferguson is just brilliant. Real has nothing. Think Man Utd will go through.

  8. If we are claiming Taylor had a good game at QPR, or we defended or played well. I'm done.

QPR away last season? That we got a point in that game

Yeah you didn't watch the game.

    ???

  10. Ryan Taylor ‏@TaylorR1984

“@SeanMcdonald07: @TaylorR1984 are newcastle going to do a harlem shake?” I'll try and organise 1, it's on the to do list

    Please don't :(

I think Citys is class

Overall City TV is really good, it´s a shame we can´t have something similar.

  11. With the way our defence looked rather shaky, I don't think going for it would have gone that well, against teams that move the ball like swansea, you need to be tight and compact as well as carrying the attacking threat.

Yes, with their massive potential attacking threats like Routledge and Nathan Dyer, it's best to play safe obviously. Especially since they move it around so well just by chance probably.

 Start making sense please.  Such a horrifically bad poster.

Sorry if that was a bit cryptic. Basically I think Laudrup makes his players look better than the sum of their parts because he encourages fluid movement and therefore players like Routledge end up looking far better than they did here. Pardew is still for the most part too defensive and over 90 mins we are still relying on players to produce goals off their own initiative. We don't get enough players in the box when we have the ball in dangerous areas to create enough real chances to win a game. Our set pieces are abysmal so that's another route closed. Jonas isn't going to either create or score many, so that's another route closed. We really are relying heavily on Cisse and Sissoko for goals.

This is for me the definition of a good manager. Pardew, for me, isn´t getting max from the players, and most important, not near to rise there games.

The whole situation is just frustrating .

  12.

Has he bollocks, man. He's just being played in a 4-3-3 instead of being asked to graft in a rigid 4-4-2.

Routledge has always been good enough for our squad and would walk into our team with Hatem out.

    Agreed.
