Also importantly Miggy and Gordon seem to have their zip back. The looked sluggish for weeks but they look back to normal. Longstaff is miles off it IMO. We need him back up to speed. 2 week break after this is crucial.

We were as awful at 1-0 down as I've seen... We were as good from 1-1 as I've seen.. Mental. They are dangerous but I feel they are a soft touch when it gets physical.

Me included.
-
Don't care now. We've showed the character I was after. They might win but we've picked ourselves off the canvas.
-
Fuck me. 2 unreal passes.
-
Who's making those decisions? Put a fucking normal corner in.
-
Fuming at this. Trippier, Bruno can't fucking pass. Wheres the leadership?
-
Burn? Where the fuck was Gordon?
-
What's the point having a DM if you ask them to press 20 yards ahead of our back four?
-
It's an absolute tactical mistake from us to have our middle centre mid pressing the ball. Protect the fucking defence man.

What I'm seeing is alot of politics and posturing. Don't be fooled. We will sign someone. There's been nothing to say we won't sign someone, that we aren't trying to sign someone and that the coffers are empty. There's a helluva lot of value in letting it be known that we haven't got a lot of money. I'm not saying it's a lie buts it's also a great bargaining tool. Whatever we DO have left, we will use to get Eddie the player he needs.

He's in such a hurry not to leave that he asked his agent to put a release clause in his contract. Let's hope he doesn't... but he might.

How's that any difference? The likelihood is that we won't have regular champions league football, the sharks are going to circle on him. Who can afford him? Man United, Man City, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona (they'd find the fucking money). Make no mistake, Pep would take Bruno in a heartbeat and he'd be outrageous for them. If someone puts in 100m, clause or not, we'd sell and don't be fooled Bruno is no different to any other footballer, they all want the biggest wages and the chance of trophies. It's not a case of being Mr Negative. Just don't convince yourself it won't happen because it's a lot more likely than you might think.

Craig Hope is a journalist, a daily mail journalist, no less. It's literally his job to get people to read his stuff. Its sensationalist, sure, but hasnt it always been? If you watch his YouTube videos, normally pre and post match, I generally agree with most of the stuff he says.

I love Bruno but if it means, by selling him, the club get to move forward by reinvestment into 4/5 quality signings, then so be it. Liverpool did it with Coutinho (end up winning the league), Spurs did it with Bale (and ended up cocking it up), West Ham have done it with Rice (I'd argue they are a better squad now). We aren't above selling players, in fact, it's an inevitability. The question is, do you trust our owners to: a) reinvest as much as possibly of the proceeds of a sale back into the playing squad? b) make good use of the funds? Personally, I'm 100% sure on A and fairly confident on B.

Just watched his interview and if you don't think we are selling Bruno in the summer well.....
-
Ah, what you are looking for is the PERFECT signing. Need the old chequebook for those. Edit: Actually not the old chequebook, that has dust on.
-
That Werner signing is exactly what we needed. Except someone who can play from the right. Its got no risk financially, and if it works they have a good player for a lowish fee.

Botman, Isak, Bruno and Tonali weren't British? Gordon is British and has been fantastic, likewise Livramento and Trippier before that. That leaves Barnes who got injured when he walked through the door and Hall, who in fairness may turn out a wasted venture. I don't think the Burn/Wood transfers in the first window were fair markers, given our precarious position at the time. Sorry to sound like I'm attacking you but this idea that Howe only likes signing British players is nonsense and the idea that he only signs POOR British players is even worse. Since the takeover, our record in the transfer market has been fantastic. A mix of old and young, British and foreign, short term and long term.
-
I've said it before... Howe was bemoaning his attacking options from the bench for weeks... I'd be shocked if we weren't looking at an attacking player, of some sort.
-
The stadium sponsorship is a tough place for them to go. The training ground sponsorship will come when we build a new training ground. I'm fairly sure Eales and Silverstone know what they are doing.
-
Don't see it as an issue whatsoever. They are both good PL players, with Livramento being someone with the potential to be fantastic. Livramento has shown how good he is, but he's still a work in progress and is rightly being managed carefully. Burn is a steady Eddie, who largely reliable as a player and character but has limitations.

In fairness, the one thing I absolutely trust about our ownership is maximising revenue. I think we will see an astonishingly positive set of figures next time out (from an income perspective) and our commercial side will probably see one of the biggest growth by a football club, ever. We've also had to do it by being sqeaky clean (we'll sort of, Sela, nudge wink).
