You bring out this source that basically backs up my point? His West Ham deal is a pay as you play deal. He nearly left in January as wasn't getting enough gametime to make it worth it for him. And our offer was worse than that. We didn't want him - it was likely a token offer as we knew he was desperate for first team football.
-
Literally no sources for your version of events, and all the other articles by that particular author talks about a pay as you play contract offer. And that's widely reported elsewhere. It's incentivised because by the nature of the contract you only get paid for appearances and goals. Should be obvious why those deals would be incentivised.
-
I rate Woltemade. But to say he's been scapegoated is BS. When he's been playing as the striker he is usually never in the box when the ball comes in. It's much more noticeable when it's been flashed across the goalmouth.
-
You are imagining this base salary. You haven't provided any sources at all about it. Only sources out there is about an offer as a pay as you play deal that may or may not have been offered to his reps. As a token gesture.
-
your kidding right.. Not to mention all his other articles plainly explain "pay and play', he's actually pretty consistent on this. Howe gave some quotes about Wilson, being complimentary but also explaining the club's limitations and PSR as well as Wilson's quest for game time, but now you're spinning as "so keen" to stay
-
Delap is probably the obvious one this summer. If Chelsea get rid, which is sounding more and more likely.
-
Aka: Pay and play. Here's another article for you, try and read this one. And same author believe it not. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/callum-wilsons-newcastle-united-contract-31724452 Headline: Callum Wilson's Newcastle United contract talks explained as Leeds lurk amid 'pay as you play' offer So, no.
-
All the reports are we talked to his reps about a pay and play deal. We could have extended his contract - we choose not to. If he had signed a pay and play deal we were always going to sign another striker to rotate with Isak, hence the early links with numerous strikers like Mbeumo, Delap Hence why Wilson wasn't the plan.
-
We apparently had the opportunity to sit down with his reps to do a play and pay deal. Sounds like someone we were desperate to keep doesn't it..
-
Howe also wanted one of Ekitike, Delap, Mbeumo or Cunha before the Isak situation happened. So no, Wilson wasn't the plan.
-
There was a portion of our fan base who wanted Sir Bobby out way before then. We were terrible the previous season and had crashed out of the Champions League in the qualifying round by Partizan Belgrade.
-
It's not all rosey at Villa. Villa fans waited Emery's head at the start of the season. And again the last few weeks, today's win broke a very poor run of form for them, which includes a 2-0 loss to Wolves, and 4-1 home defeat by Chelsea. But they have been dropping down the table very fast.
-
We drew away to Brighton (we dominated the game), we lost 1-0 away to Arsenal (again the better team, we missed 3 big chances) and a disappointment loss to Everton at home - where we missed host of chances. Wouldn't call that a mini collapse tbh. We played well in all those games.
-
He said he doesn't think Howe is willing to change it. Based on this week - I'm sure he knows what reinforcements and where we need to improve are.
-
Do you think he finds this week acceptable? C'mon.
-
Would walk into them. He's a big improvement on the current managers in those posts ATM. Fortunately he's been all in with us so far.
-
Nagelsmann, Glasner, Conte, Xavi and Mourinho on that list . Tell me what happens to each and everyone of them when they don't want to do their job anymore? They go out of their way to get paid off. Iraola is the only one there that has potential to succeed.
-
Chelsea and their fans didn't rate Salah, De Bruyne or Courtois to name a few. It doesn't inspire confidence in their opinions. And Delap was class at a poor Ipswich side.
-
He built a CL team out of relegation fodder by his many early signings such as Trippier, Bruno and Burn. Which almost included Ekiteke need we forget.
-
Woltemade, he didn't have preseason here and he's way off the pace at the moment. I say that as someone who rates and wanted him in the summer. Howe prefers Isak, Ekiteke, Pedro, Sesko to name a few playing as the main striker. How are they not technical players? There are plenty of narratives you can throw at Howe but that's a far fetched one to say the least.

Dumb folk can't be reasoned with sometimes.
-
Are you able to name a manager or club who has a perfect transfer record? Would quite like to hear "who is trustworthy"
-
I don't think you actually like football, if you truly believe the shite that you're posting. "..because he won the Carabao cup" as if it's a minor thing. We have the budget of a team for 8th place in the league.
-
Pretty much every PL would be interested in Howe, and for good reason.
-
The argument is flimsy when you know there is no one else out there better. No one has more chance of turning it around than Howe.
