Where is Hugo Viana playing now? Is he still at Valencia? I know he was at Braga last year
He's back at Valencia, who are looking to loan/sell him again.
Cheeky loan bid?
-
Massive bump here, but whatever happened to this ridiculous rebranding thing?
-
Ah, yes of course the Pensky file!
Ah that Pensky!
You're not Pensky material!

Just to give you all an idea how the reporting is overseas, a journo at Swedens biggest selling newspaper has picked his XI and manager in the newspapers own version of this. Any how, here's the fantastic team:

Wor lass washed the kids new toon tops for the first time and the Northern rock has started to lift were the water has getting under it has anybody else had this trouble
my son`s adult top is ok it has only happened on the junior size ones
I am talking about the new home strip
At the risk of sounding like some sort of old woman - did you use fabric softener? Guaranteed to ruin the shirt if you wash it with fabric softener
answer is no
Latest update
Took them back to shop tonight and they changed it straight away and said they had not had any returns for the same problem
Am I the only one finding it rather hilarious that a person who has the word "wash" in their username has a problem with their washing?

Aslong as the bloody northern rock black bit is not shiny, as shown in most of the pictures, then I might even consider buying it.
There is one on ebay from the nephew of the guy who designed it. The sponsor looks terrible

Should really get his uncles phone number and tell him all the things that's wrong with the shirt..

Isn't this Hernandez fellow faster than lightning? Think I recall seeing him in one game where he made Bolt look like my grandma..

Man, he used the club's funds to pay a fine for tax evasion and avoid being jailed
Sounds like a decent bloke! I mean, he is living on the edge, you have to like that:)

Ruíz de Lopera has sold Betis for €18m to Bitton Sport (which I have never heard about before). He will be missed as he was the most entertaining owner since Jesús Gil, although Betis fans will probably sigh in relief.
What has he done bar from changing the stadium name?
-
Why would they go €1m over when, theoretically, €1 would be suffice?
-
Didn't he cost them crazy money?
Like £20m or something?
Cost them €25m and they recouped €15 if Sid Lowe are to be believed.

translating from what to what ?As an off field advisor and morale booster to the squad, David Beckham has been badly found out.
About Beckham, surely he must have been a translator or something, or what the deal with him?
Translating Capello's italian/spanish/english into the kind of english the thick player could understand. He didn't do it very well, though..

I have to say that the shift Barry put in today was absolutely shambles. I blame him for the last two goals. You can't lose possession just outside the oppositions box after a free kick and for Germanys fourth he was slower than my grandma.
That said, the English only looked like a good team for about four minutes

Barça Atlètic and Sant Andreu have qualified for the promotion playoff finals to our Second Division
Alcorcón and Ontinyent are the other two teams that qualified. Draw is tomorrow I think.
Sant Andreu and Barcelona Atlètic got paired, so that means a local derby and another Barcelona team in La Liga next season. Hope Sant Andreu wins since they are the real team although if Luís Enrique pulls it off for Barça B I won't be very pissed.
I was under the impression a club's A-side and B-side can't play in the same division?

Helsingborgs concede within 1 and a half minutes.
About that, it took Kalmar six (6!) seconds to score the winning goal, the fastest goal ever in Sweden. And even more impressive/weird is that Helsingborg took the kick off! Worth checking out at youtube, search for Kalmar - Helsingborg 1-0 and you'll find it

"Pique, fuck you!"
where's the beef?
apparently Pique left Zlatan unsatisfied the other night
Wouldn't he be saying "fuck me" then?

Lars Lagerbäck hasn't been paid for two months from the Nigerian FA.
He must deposit £2000 first in order to get his salary, I would think
-
A female reporter asks (well, sort of) Zlatan what he thinks of the picture with Pique. Quite like Zlatan's answer

I suppose this is alright to post since it's now football, right?

Nice to see fourth spot finishers Spurs end on a high..

1-0 to Whitley Bay after 19 seconds!
19 seconds is an eternity.
In Sweden BK Häcken scored against Halmstad away from home after eight (8!) seconds!
EDIT: I might add this happened today as well

"watch twelve games in twelve different countries in one year"
Sounds class. Do tell more.
Me and a mate are trying to combine travelling with football to a reasonable price. Went to Milano and watched Inter - Caligari (three nights in four star hotel, flight and match ticket totalling to £120 per person), Spurs - Blackburn (he's a Spurs fan and we stayed at my sisters place so we only spent around £90 on flights and match ticket) and now Eintracht - Hoffenheim (four star hotel for four nights, flights and match ticket £85). Been to a game in Sweden (where we live) as well and will try and head to Denmark this month. June and july will get tough to catch games due to WC, so we'll probably have to try and squeeze in a couple of countries in the same month later on, like Portugal/Spain combo or something...
You have time and money for going to so many matches/countries? Do you work anything or are you just finding the money lying on the street?
We're students and at least I work extra on the weekends. I've basically given up boozing in Sweden because I just can't deal with the hang overs any more (I sound a lot older than I am at this point)! I usually spend £50 or more per night when on the piss so not doing that every week is an easy £200 saved. And since I'm not hung over on saturdays and sundays I can work a little bit extra in a grocery store which really put me in the black. And my grades are up as well so I'm well pleased...
And don't get me wrong, I still do drink and socialise when I'm home and everything, just changed priorities for this year to fund this.
Edit: Total spend for these three trips and the game in Sweden is around £1100 which I reckon is a bargain.

This whole thing seems just a bit weird to me. Sure, Pep and Zlatan don't get along and he was probably bought by Laporta as a marquee signing to show Real that Barca can spend a bit of dough as well. But to sell him after just one season, in which he did alright considering adapting to a new league, at a major loss just seems a bit too drastic. I suppose they just want to cut their losses but still.. As for Zlatan the player I reckon that, great manager Pep is, he used Zlatan wrongly when trying to change Barcas style of playing. Against say Inter, Barcas "tiqi taca" didn't work and Zlatan was brought in to give Barca a second option, but hoofing the ball up to him is just as pointless as anything since he's not a target player, which is a bit bizarre given his stature and strength.
An other thing is I can't see Milan matching the wage Zlatan is on now and I doubt he's willing to take a major pay cut.
