  1. Why is everyone so sure of Man Utd winning tomorrow? Bayern will have Schweinsteiger and Robben back for the game so they won't lose the midfield battle like they did last week (thankfully Ferguson did some weird substituions allowing Bayern back in the game) while Man Utd will probably be without Rooney. If Man Utd play like they did against Chelsea I would expect a draw tomorrow but I will stay clear of the game

    :cheesy:

Good then I didn't bet on the game, even though it's 3-2 now which is all Bayern needs. I still hope for a draw so I can throw this back at you though:)

  2. He's just 22 and look what he has won already:

That said, he probably would need to win a World Cup to be considered to be the greatest or even on par with Maradona, even though I rate him higher since the level is higher now-a-days I would say

  4. Speaking of France, did anyone bet on the Ajaccio - Bastia game today? Been rumours about that game being fixed in favour for bottom-side Bastia, who before this game played 15 away recording W0D3L12. Final score, you might ask? 0-1...

  5. Feeling adventurous

£2 on Stoke-Hull 1-1 full time score and Reading to win away to Ipswich. Returns about £40.

Bar from perhaps Arsenal, are there any real bankers for tomorrow? I haven't really been arsed to check France, Spain etc

  6. So you don't believe in your own AIK?

They're away to GAIS, a side they haven't lost to in 19 years and you can get DNB at 8/11 right now.

And yes, Mjällby is probably this years equivalent to Burnley and Hull last year. High flying in the first half until they get found out.

  7. A few observations from the game at Turf Moor:

We are a better side than Burnley under laws, absolutely clueless.

Eagles is Burnley's best player by a distance.

Olsson is a diving bastard but looks a decent player, worth a cheeky bid perhaps?

Mike Dean had a bet on.

I have to stop you right here. Olsson usually plays LB and he is probably one of the worst, if not the worst, defender in PL. He's fairly quick but way too light-weighted and can't tackle.  Fat Sam has played Olsson in midfield a couple of times now (where he can do little harm) where he can use his speed better, but his left foot and vision is not good enough for PL.

If we want to go for a swede who can play both in midfield and defense we should look at Seb Larsson at Birmingham. McLeish has benched him for a couple of games now and if I'm not mistaken he hasn't signed a new contract yet so he could arrive on the cheap.

If we want to go for a Blackburn Rovers player on the other hand, I would go for N'Zonzi who impressed me. No chance of him leaving Rovers for us I think but he's quality

  8. I couldn't care less about the SPL, but Mowbray is the main reason for the surge in form for Middlesbrough

9 - All but one of the 9 goals scored by Boro at the Riverside in 2010 have come from players signed from Celtic in January.

This was 22/3 so don't know how accurate it is right now.

  9. Good efforts but is it just me who thinks gold looks kind of tacky? Sure, we're probably going to win the Championship but that doesn't really grant us using gold on our shirts in PL...

However, the little magpie that's been in the last few mock ups is ace

I agree that gold can look tacky but when used sparingly i think it can look really nice. The little gold features on that bottom shirt look class

Don't get me wrong, I think the bottom shirt looks great but I would prefer it if the gold details were to be dark blue or something instead.

It's going to be interesting to see what Puma can make of this.

  10. Good efforts but is it just me who thinks gold looks kind of tacky? Sure, we're probably going to win the Championship but that doesn't really grant us using gold on our shirts in PL...

  11. West Ham, Forest, Southampton.

Two of those teams I want to win for other reasons than the bet. Guessing only one of them will come in though.

Was thinking of putting a tenner on that earlier, but then I read this little stat:

1 - West Ham have played 20 Premier League games on a Tuesday and have won only one of them. Bluesday.

Last time I backed West Ham was against Bolton so I decided to stay away from this game.

West Ham will win 2,3-0 just because of this...
