  2. Bet for weekend,

    4 folds on

    Liverpool v Hull    HOME

    Pompy v Everton AWAY

    Wigan v Chelsea AWAY

    Real Madrid to win

    Barca to win

£20 on returns minimum of £65 profit on skybet. And thats with 4 folds, for anyone that doesnt know that means you only need to get 4 out of 5 results correct.

I think thats a great bet, I expect them all to come in but I'm sick of losing out by one freak result so Im playing the safe card and doing a 4 fold.

You sure on that? I get something different.

Yeh mate I'm sure, Ive just put 19 quid on and its returning £58. It has went down slightly from yesterday but its still on.

Neil -  Its not just skybet offering the odds like this most of them are quite similar. When you look at it its only odds of 3/1 (ish) so its not amazing odds but its a very good bet and price.

    It's not 3/1.  You stick £20 on, win £40 (ish) + plus your original £20 bet - that's 2/1.

  3. Oh well another one lost, here's my weekend bets.

  4. Well my bets went tits up last night, might stick an £10 accy on tonight for Aston Villa, Chelsea, Man City & Man Utd - do I throw in Celtic & Ranger as well?

Does anyone know what sort of odds I'll get for those (I can't get on any gambling sites at work)?

You certainly do not throw in Celtic and Rangers.

On bet365 you get a little over 3/1 for those four. Worth a punt if you ask me.

EDIT: With Celtic and Rangers you get 5.37/1. They are both away though, and I've no idea if they'll play their best teams in the cup or not. I'm staying well clear.

Cheers for that, I think you're right and I'll not go for Celtic and Rangers and stick to a four team bet @ £10.

  6. Arsenal, Sevilla, Barcelona should all be safe bets tonight, having them and one or two more games tonight, don't know which ones yet though.

Arsenal and Barca - agreed. But not Sevilla they are playing Mallorca who are above them in the league, unbeaten and at home.

I've been looking at a few non-league and Scottish games for tonight and fancy these: Oxford, Kidderminster, Stevenage, Hibernian, Aberdeen and Motherwell. Will check out the odds when I get home (can't access gambling sites at work) and maybe whittle it down to a 4/5 team accy.

    Sevilla are at home mate.

Stuck to those three games on one, the one Ronaldo posted and one with Leeds or Draw, Barnsley or Draw and Nottingham Forest or Draw.

Sorry my bad, Sevilla are at home.

    Man Utd v Wolves  1/3

    Preston v Tottenham  8/13

    Chelsea v QPR  1/6

    Leeds v Liverpool  8/15

    Arsenal v West Brom  1/3

Silly bet, using up loose change in my betting account. £3.22 could win around £175

    Ferdinand must prove Euro fitness

Ferdinand last played for Manchester United against Arsenal on 5 May

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand must prove his fitness at Hull on Sunday in order to earn a start in the Champions League final.

United face Barcelona on 27 May in Rome and have doubts over the 30-year-old, who has been out for three games after suffering a calf injury in training.

"I am hoping he will be fit for Sunday, if not he is doubtful for the final," said United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I think he needs a game going into the Champions League final."

Ferdinand last played for United in the Champions League semi-final, second leg victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on 5 May.

He was doubtful going into that game because of a rib injury and has also been plagued by back and groin problems this season.

And Ferguson has warned that if the England defender cannot prove his fitness in the final Premier League game of the season at Hull, then he will miss out on a place in the starting line-up for the final.

"The plan is for him to start training with us on Thursday and once we get football training we will have a better idea of his availability for Sunday," stated Ferguson.

"I think he is probably fit to play next Wednesday but whether I would start him without a game is another matter."

If Ferdinand fails to win his battle for fitness, Jonny Evans will deputise alongside Nemanja Vidic in the heart of United's defence.

Could be good news for us if it's true!

  10. No, I'm saying, and probably labouring the point, that we spend less than several other teams, so the charge that we "bought" the league is farcical.  This isn't even taking into account how much of the money comes from players we sell.  Smith for six million, Pique for seven, Silvestre for five, Richardson for five and a half, Rossi for seven, Heinze for six, Howard for four, thats the last two seasons just off the top of my head.

Considering the massive amount of money we bring in we really don't spend all that much on transfers, largely because it's going back out in interest payments.

    Don't rub it in.

Admitedly you have spent (what's appears to be) fairly well recently, but it's a lot easier for a good player to slot in to a great team. I bet spiderman or Collo could do a good job in your team. Christ even Smith used to do a job in your team!

  11. couple of points.

Overall good performance by the team.

    Shola - Well done!!

JFK - I warming to him.

    Technicalities!!

    I'm joking anyway f@uck f*ace!!

Thanks for agreeing with my comments.

  12. If someone posted a thread like this on here everyone would dismiss Sunderland players straight away - so would I. So it's understandable why they are saying the sort of things that they are. If you read through the thread though you'll notice that a number of people are actually saying that we are still better and have better players (they may be NUFC fans). The difference is though, we would never compare any of there players to be anywhere near as good as any of our players - at least I wouldn't anyway. I think the point I'm trying to make is that we know that we are better than them and they know it too.

  13. What a f***ing prick.

I like how you wait for about 20 people to make a comment before you have a dig!

    Unusual, I know.

I'm not having a dig at you actually - you are normally one of the few people on here that talks sense!

I just find the general attitude of everyone a bit judgmental. Especially considering whats gone on at our club over the last 5 years.

  14. What a f***ing prick.

To say I feel sorry for him is going a bit far, but these footballers have been treated like children since they WERE children. I personally think that they are not in touch with reality and he probably didn't think he was doing anything wrong - they've never had to face up to consequences until they make a BIG mistake.

So he's using a bit of "street" language and that makes a number of people on this site feel out of touch with the "kids" - give the lad a break, it's not like he's kicked an innocent lad to shit and got sent down for 6 months.

I hope he finds a new club and has a decent career.

p.s. I've never heard of the lad and never seen him play and I hope Barton sorts himself out and plays for us again!
