  1. Midfield has questions over it, and strike force is very dependant on one man.

There are questions all over the pitch. None of their players stand out as a quality player, except Bent. However it is a large squad with averagely good players, they are going to be a solidly mid table team.

  2. Not a bad squad at all.

    Craig Gordon

    Phil Bardsley

    George McCartney

    Michael Turner

    Anton Ferdinand

    Paulo da Silva

    Matthew Kilgallon

    Marcos Angeleri

    Titus Bramble

    John Mensah

    Boudewijn Zenden

    Steed Malbranque

    Kieran Richardson

    Jordan Henderson

    David Meyler

    Andy Reid

    Lee Cattermole

    Ahmed Al-Muhammadi

    Cristian Riveros

    Teemu Tainio

    Fraizer Campbell

    Darren Bent

    Kenwyne Jones

    David Healy

  3. I raised the point in the Others Clubs transfers thread - they have half a dozen centre backs but not many fullbacks, perhaps the rumours that Bruce doesn't rate Angeleri are true?

    Bruce is crazy.

Last season they had Mensah, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Turner and then Kigallon

This season they have Mensah, Da Silva, Ferdinand, Turner, Bramble and then Kigallon (rumoured to go to Boro on loan), with Onuoha coming in

  4. Village Idiot

Will Yaya Toure be a bomb in the Premiership ?

Would he score ~ 10 goals in a season ? Would he be everywhere on the pitch? Would he grab the games by their neck ? Would he be an influential player for Man City (he is competing against Barry, De Jong, Vieira) ?

Also, will Pablo Ibanez be a star player for West Brom ?

  5. For the liverpool game

Type on your address bar http://www.megavideo.com/

THen after the "/", paste this in ?v=I4RCX4ZL

Joe Cole's cross is a peach. He seems alright

    :idiot2: no video links allowed

:idiot2: Where is the video link ?

cos you have posted a link to where the video will be found, and what you require to watch the video (i.e. then the rest of the address)

So I have not posted any video link then !

  6. What Toon Norway said.

Inconsistent, and seems to have attitudes problems.

Ben Arfa was sold to Marseille from Lyon for 11M Euro, and reported to be enjoying 70k Euro per week. I can't imagine that Marseille are willing to make a big lose on him.

I don't think we should purchase him. Loan with minimal transaction fee, yes.

  7. Guys I need your professional recommendation

My dreamteam (The Sun version) now stands as following :

    Ben Forster, 3M

    Coloccini, 1.5M

    Sol Campbell, 1M

    Jagielka, 3.5M

    Fabregas, 8M

    Gerrard, 8M

    David Silva, 4M

    Javier Hernandez, 3M

    Total 32M

I need 1 more defender, 1 more midfielder, and 1 more striker. I have 18M to spend.

Can you please recommend me a top expensive central defender - main criteria, he must perform well this season, price not an issue. Should I go for Vidic for 6.5M, or Vermaelen for 6M ?

Can you please recommend me a goal scoring midfielder. Main criteria, he must score lots of goals. Price not an issue. Should I go for Lampard for 9M, Arshavin for 7M, Nasri for 4M, Arteta for 5M, Valencia for 4.5M, I am also tempted by Aquilani for 3M, Bilyaletdinov for 3M, Graham Dorrans for 2.5M, Hitzlsperger for 2.5M.

Striker is the least importance of all. The cash available should be the balance after a midfielder and a defender has been selected. However I am thinking (preliminary) amongst these few : Mauro Boselli 1.5M, Nikola Zigic 2M, Chamakh 5M, Owen 3M, Steven Fletcher 2.5M. The main criteria is that he must score minimum 10~15 goals.

Helps ~~~ Your wisdoms and educated prediction much appreciated

  8. Youtube

[HQ] Arsenal 3-2 Celtic Emirates Cup 2010 Full Highlights

I really like Thomas Vermaelen. Not the immovable rock like JT, Vidic and Carragher (in his prime), but he has such sweet strike for a CD, like Daniel Agger.

Wonder why the new French-Polish defemder didn't play ?

  9. How is he not at fault for the first goal? It looked like a slide tackle that he was going to make, easily, and being the last man, he had to make it. He missed the ball somehow and they scored as a result.

    1. The midfield was bypassed too easily (Alan Smith)

    2. The keeper is beaten easily (Steve Harper)

Yes he conceded the freekick but 1 & 2

  10. Having seen the highlight (I know), I think :

    1. James Perch is not at fault for 1st goal but his general play especially defending is a bit worrying

    2. Good results

    3. Alan Smith is not good enough

    4. Coloccini is quite decent

    5. Harper is beaten easily by long rage shots

This is only a preseason however. Players are still warming up

  11. Can anyone see past Middlesbrough for the Championship ? This is one HELL of a team for the Championship

    Brad Jones

    Danny Coyne

    Justin Hoyte

    Andrew Taylor

    Matthew Bates

    Jonathan Grounds

    Seb Hines

    Rhys Williams

    Tony McMahon

    David Wheater

    Stephen McManus (

    Didier Digard

    Willo Flood

    Gary O'Neil

    Barry Robson

    Julio Arca

    Josh Walker

    Nicky Bailey

    Kevin Thomson

    Scott McDonald

    Leroy Lita

    Tarmo Kink

    Marvin Emnes

    Lee Miller

    Kris Boyd

    Mido

  12. check a video called 'Sol Campbell Returns' - obviously shows recent footage of him

the music choice for the video is strange however, it's like....too suductive

Richard Dunne outpacing him at 0:30. Dennis would never have allowed him to sign for us based on damning evidence like that.

I think his slow pace could be a serious problem for us. Coloccini is slow as well. Two slow defenders are not good omen. And can our fitness regime keep Campbell fit and agile ?

I appreciate that he is still an excellent game reader and a real physical presence. But we don't have anyone to cover his pace. Hopefully I am just being too pessimistic

  13. A

Man City need a good right winger, Donovan fits the bill.

    Adam Johnson and David Silva?

    Aren't they left wingers ?

Silva can play either wing but I'd say he's stronger on the left. Johnson is primarily left sided.

Adam Johnson is left footed, but plays as right winger for Man City.
