  1. Our U23s are worse than shite. We had two U23s on the bench yesterday - a bench that was short and had two keepers. Then we lost as many as four to injury on the night. We simply can't put a team together - look at the thread about the Everton game to see how we were scratching to make a team before it got called off.

And I apologise - I misread your comment about backhanders and injuries. I suppose because I didn't consider the prospect of the club and the PL cooperating on anything. I'm astonished they let us call Everton off!

'keeper tops were so much better when the designers were given free reign to do what they wanted. They're all plain and boring now.

Better still when the keeper himself designed it - just ask Jorge Campos

    Saint here in peace.

Sure you don't support a different team wearing red, white and black?

Pretty sure watching footage of Wilson's calf pinging contradicts any suggestion that his injury was faked.

BTW Sell uz JWP plz

Actually have no issues with anything that gives games atmosphere goal music aside. Growing up watching European football in the 80’s I miss the fog horns and cow bells etc. If I had my say I’d have loads fixed around the ground that couldn’t be removed but used throughout the game. Maybe something for NUST and WorFlags to sort going forward.

One if not my favourite game of all time… 📢 🥰

Am I remembering correctly - was there a Portsmouth fan in the 90s whose schtick was a cowbell (an instrument Christopher Walken was perfectly correct about)?

The languid style and his role honestly does remind me of Socrates, which is why I thought that comparison was so good. Obviously tongue in cheek in terms of their quality, which shouldn't need saying, but there are obviously some people who need it spelled out that yes, obviously Joelinton is the better player.

We need a Tik Tok of Joelinton chainsmoking cigarettes outside a cafe espousing political philosophy

Players wearing long sleeve underarmour with short sleeve playing shirts. It looks shit.

And if it is that cold, put a long sleeve shirt over the top of it.

Come to think of it, do long sleeve shirts even exist anymore?

Castore don't do one for the Toon - I searched high and low without success.

Genuine question - anyone know if Anderson and White count as ‘available players’? They are in the first team group but have read some stuff previously (I think in relation to Everton?) that suggested you might need to have at least one senior start to be counted as one of the thirteen outfield players.

I thought it went off the official squad list - of which we have 4 keepers and 21 outfield players. If the 10 I listed above are unavailable, we have 11 available outfield players…?

Mad how he's now easily first name on the teamsheet. What a turnaround

Somewhere else in the multiverse, another set of Toon fans are wondering what's happened to their superstar Brazilian

What position is he? Has he created a role of his own? A sort of defensive number 10?

Eddie called him an eight, which is box-to-box for me

  10. #AnnounceMbappe

Brereton Diaz is an obvious target, I liked Ayoze being mentioned. But it's probably safe to say that;s the season for Wilson and striking reinforcements are an even bigger priority than they were.

The way the play bulilt up it would have been very hard for a fast midfielder to get near Cavani to stop him there, let alone Shelvey. Lascelles is fully to blame, it already happened once before and he didnt even look to see where he was and wasnt even close enough to block the shot. If you watch how many times Schar check where Ronaldo in on the same bit of play you'll see what he should have been doing

    Exactly this - it's Situational Awareness 101.

Socrates is my favourite Brazilian midfielder so I. Happy with the thread change

Would love special dispensation for this title to remain after @Rich wakes up
