Worst game of the tournament so far this Scotland game.

There is that.
Reckon Saudi would cough it up nee botha, but I doubt a PL club would
Aye agree, but if 25 million for ASM was fair market value I don’t think over 20 for Wilson would be considered.

Anything north of 20m would be fantastic tbf.
And totally unrealistic imo.

Where's Wilson linked to? Is it west ham.
And Saudi.

I'm not really sure what Man Utd are hoping for to be honest.
Between the pair of them, there's a chance neither really hit the heights they need, as they are both still pretty inexperienced at a higher level.
I thought they would go for someone like Toney for the first team and then bring Hojlund along behind him.
Isak and DCL or Zirkzee and Hojlund? I'm banking on our pairing to be more productive personally.
I’d bank on Isak alone, not sure I’d rate DCL higher than the other two. (Based on the last few seasons, under Carlo he looked the real deal).

He definitely will or he wouldn't be joining them I don't think.
AC Milan have been chasing him to be their new number 9.
That means Hojlund on the bench though, either way that is two excellent young strikers.

The calibre of players like Sesko, Zirkzee, David, Gimenez, Ghuirassy are all getting first team main striker offers from other really good clubs. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, AC Milan, Dortmund etc. They are more likely to choose those sorts of options, rather than join us and rotate with Isak.
Play style wise, I think it's fine as his profile still works well for us, while adding some different elements. Isak and Wilson are very different but were still both effective in our setup.
Zirkzee won’t be first choice at Man Utd surely ?

I understand man, but can we really operate by this premise?
Also we really need to aim for someone that we anticipate being very good on that right side, and not just better than Miggy, which might still not mean they're good enough.
Even on that left hand side, i think part of the reason we went for Barnes, was because although the club rated Gordon, there wasn't any certainty his progress would be so rapid, and so Barnes was a more guaranteed performer output wise. I think Gordon was more of an upside purchase. With Barnes injury early on and Gordon's breakthrough season it worked out differently though.
It’s just frustrating that we are going to seemingly sell a really highly rated youngster whilst still having Miggy and Murphy. ( I know no one wants to buy them before @Gawalls mentions it).

Our problem is that we can’t sell dead wood or squad players.
On FM you could get a few quid for Longstaff and Almiron. In real life - nobody wants them.
People would take them, just not at a fee we would deem acceptable imo.

Again - we need to be able to sell miggy, we can’t just keep saying no to sell all of the only players we’re both getting bids for and are wanting to go.
I’m not saying anything about keeping or selling him. I was replying to a post saying it’s a risk keeping him in case he performs poorly. I was saying even if he does I can’t see him being as bad as Miggy.

What happens if we go with this and plug him into the first team as our right winger option, and he goes out there and performs poorly? Massive risk to take, no?
Aye, but I can’t see him being any worse than Miggy.
-
I can’t see any club paying 30 plus million for him tbh.

Looks like West Ham are going back with another bid for Kilman.

Tomori?
Aye, didn’t realise Kilman was only 27, thought he was 29/30.

Whoever said put an I on the end of kilman is spot on here mind cos lots will want him instead despite not a great difference in quality. Another left sided CB isn't he? Not that I don't rate him like would be a good signing.
He’s right footed, plays mainly RCB I think. A lot younger so I would prefer him over Kilman (who I do rate). Just think this one would make more sense for what we need.

they took on LIV though.
Think that’s a much bigger priority for them though.

I think one of the most frustrating aspect of this is the sheer amount of money left on the table by the lack of low hanging sponsors we somehow didn’t sign up since the takeover.
Aye, no excuse for this imo.

when we played wolves at home this season. think Kilman played RCB of a three. dont really remember much about him.
think Dawson was their best defender that day - had Isak in his pocket first half. hard to assess second half after they switched ends.
Did he ? We where 2-0 up at half time and Isak scored.

Clubs aren't exactly tripping over themselves to offer us that big money for them I guess. Am I shocked and surprised? Well not really.
They aren’t, but between them we could raise enough imo.

This is a more exciting rumour

How do we know that this is actually the case? Has this kid actually sold yet? I mean there’s putting 2&2 together and coming up with 5, and then there’s whatever the hell large portions of this thread consist of.I think it’s fairly well reported we need to sell by then end of the week.

If we’d sold tripps in Jan and never had that hindsight then these conversations would have happened in the tripps thread.
I think quite a few were open to selling in January in fairness. The overall feeling was it was the best time to sell and we had to become good sellers to succeed.

Don’t - I’ve been saying it all weekend and it just gets constantly ignored.
Longstaff
Anderson
Trippier
Murphy
All possible options imo.

Fuck knows what the set piece coach has been doing this week with Scotland. If the tactic is don’t beat the first man then they are smashing it.
