Worth noting that Wilson only managed double figures in a PL season once at Bournemouth. He's done alright here
Aye, although we were in a completely different position when we signed Wilson to be fair.

Again though, based on what?
Kilman being British and Eddie being obsessed with British players apparently.
-
These latest set of rumours suggest we are going to break PSR rules unless we can sell someone ?
-
Fwiw I really rate Kilman but with Kelly and Botman already in then it’s a strange rumour.
-
What a strange rumour. Just offer Longstaff instead.

Did anyone watch him that much last season or are going purely off YT and basic stats ?
Quite a lot on here, his thread was updated regularly during match days.

Signing Trafford, Kelly and Calvert-Lewin would be an underwhelming window for a team in the bottom half, never mind one that was in the Champions League last season.
You would imagine they are bought to allow us to go big on a RW and CB. No point judging the window until it closes.

I disagree with that. He is a good striker, he’s very good in the air, has great movement and is a natural finisher. The issue is his fitness and the fact he’s not a very versatile player. Is he a top 4 striker? No, but he could be as backup if his fitness wasn’t trash
He hasn’t been good since Ancelotti was there imo.

I don't think it's even true, considering we've just come of the back of a record breaking season of injury, players dropping like flies, we wouldn't repeat that with injury prone signings, things are quiet on the club football front because of the European Cup, so Baldwards has invented one of his exclusives.
We already have with Kelly in fairness.
-
Interested to know the price, anything above 15 million I’d rather just risk it with Wilson for another season tbh.

Athletic now reporting it as well.

We’d only need him to be back up to Isak. Think not being the main man and having to return to the team and play through injuries will help him stay fitter.
The thing is, given Isak’s own injury issues, we may need him to play quite a lot. Not sure he is the right type of striker to play how we do given his injury record.

Good source?
Dutch media, absolutely no idea how good or bad they are though.

Wilson's record at Bournemouth was nothing to rave about, and he was playing under Howe in a much more attacking team throughout.
DCL has mostly been stuck in pretty poor Everton teams. The one time he had a really good manager and some better players around him, he performed at a better clip than Wilson did.
It's really not that different when you look at things a bit closer. They're actually quite comparable in those periods.
As I said previously I’m not completely against the signing if it allows us to bring in a top RW and CB. On the face of it though I’d prefer a younger option with a different profile.

It may seem that way since Wilson joined us, and has had a chance to play with some better players.
However, at Bournemouth Wilson regularly scored single digits in goals in the Premier League, only managing double figures at Bournemouth once.
Wilson stats at Bournemouth are better than DCL at Everton. Over a shorter period of time it must be said.
-
If it allows us to get in a top class RW and CB then it’s understandable. Bit of pressure to get those deals right mind given Kelly, Trafford and DCL would hardly be taking us up a level.
-
Really not a fan of that at all tbh.
-
In terms of quality, we couldn’t sign a better player than Neto this summer imo. His injuries would of course be a huge concern.

Is allegedly the price being discussed.
We would have gotten nowhere near those wages.

Kompany having the Bayern job gets wilder by the day.

Never expected us to get him, glad he isn’t going to Chelsea.

Then those in charge have done a poor job. Surely can’t be going into the last week needing a minimum 30 million to not break the rules.
