For the people saying it’s Howe’s fault they are burned out, what would you have done differently ? Genuine question, because other than swapping a fullback what other options has he had ?

I find it mad that there even needs to be a conversation about Howe’s future after losing a few games, considering what he’s achieved here so far.

Interesting to hear Howe say we can actually work on the training ground for the first time in about a month. Should help massively moving forward.

Fair enough, I agree we would have been in a much better position but think a genuine RW should have been our priority. It’s the only position we haven’t directly upgraded since the takeover. I think we will spend big on it in the summer.

But he isn’t a RW despite him being able to fill in there. That’s the point, I’m saying we should have spent the money on a genuine RW. Fair enough if you don’t agree but I think we will continue to struggle until that position is upgraded.

Yeah let’s move on, think I made a simple point to be honest, they may be able to play those positions but it isn’t their strongest position. Tonali isn’t a DM at all btw, that’s pretty clear. He’s basically a longstaff upgrade.

No I don’t think he was for the bench, I’m not saying that, I said imo we needed a top class DM and top class RW and neither Tonali or Barnes are because that isn’t their position. It’s alright saying we would have moved Gordon but he isn’t a RW either.

It is when you look at my initial post, I said RW and DM for me and none of the players play that position.

But even there you are almost putting square pegs in round holes. For where we want to be, I think we should have really upgraded the areas I mentioned with top quality in that position. We didn’t and are suffering now as a result imo.
