I've hated this thread ever since it was created, so preemptive and surely we are all harden now to never ever take anything for granted with NUFC.

Would like to see a young progressive manager come in to take his place should that scenario pan out Wagner would have been ideal but he'll not leave them if they go up in our place, Fulham's manager too would be a good should but can see them winning the playoff, if that happens he's not leaving either. When we went down in 88 or whenever, we bought well in the pre-season the following year, Quinn and McGhee were awesome up front for us but we only finished that first season back in 3rd, went to the playoff got beat off the Mackems in the semi, drawing the away leg and losing 2-0 at SJP. The Mackems went on to be promoted despite losing the final to Swindon ! Following that first season we sank like a stone until almost dropping out of the champ until KK came back to save us. Honestly if we don't go up this year can see a similar situation transpiring but where is the new KK to save us ?

Big problem for us, if we do drop into the playoffs we'll probably have Fulham and Sheff Wed in there with us and were are terribad against those two. Assuming Huddersfield overtake us but we somehow manage to stay ahead of Reading we'll be playing Fulham in the semi final should the rest of the table stay the same, anyone betting on us to beat them over two legs, after already losing twice to them this season ?

Nope Reading can also catch us with Burton, Wigan and Forest to play they are only 6 behind.

That's fine but they will beat Derby, Derby are clearly on their Hols now. Fulham will be a tougher game for sure, but the that worries me most is our own form and we look very unlikely to even get 3 more points all season. I honestly think we'll get 2 more, a draw against Preston and Barnsley with a defeat at Cardiff, that may not be enough to see off Reading let alone Huddersfield.

I'm done with this team, really done, if we throw this lead away, it's worse than the 12 point lead we gave up in 96, considering how long was left in the season and the consequence of failure. This is a horrible, horrible feeling right now.
