I know every body was excpecting everything and I was one of Thomos protector but the reality is. We are not gonna be sold before the weekend. We are about to sell 3 players and buy only two. Based on who's recommendation only God Knows. Thats what Keith is thinking and it seems they are on top of this but unfortunatily for us and our beloved Newcastle there is no quick fix for this.

Portsmouth have outlined their financial plight and said it they will need to sell more players if a proposed takeover falls through. The club said it believed Sulaiman al-Fahim, who is heading up a group of investors from the United Arab Emirates, was still committed to buying Portsmouth and strengthening the team. However, in a statement on the club website it added: "While it is our intention to add strength to the existing squad we cannot rule out the possibility of selling more players should the takeover not happen." The statement was issued after Portsmouth chief executive Peter Storrie was quoted in a leaked letter to a fan as saying it had been tough keeping the south-coast club going. It said no new finance had been available since French-born owner Alexandre Gaydamak decided to sell nine months ago. With the proposed takeover still not completed the club has been left in financial limbo and key players, such as striker Peter Crouch and fullback Glen Johnson, have had to be sold. "During this transitional phase the priority has been to keep the Football Club operating," said the statement on the club's official website. "The need to meet scheduled loan repayments to banks has meant that the club has had to sell players such as (midfielder) Lassana Diarra and (striker) Jermain Defoe in January and more recently Peter Crouch and Glen Johnson. Portsmouth lost almost £17m in the 2007/08 financial year despite winning the FA Cup and have had to shelve plans for a new stadium. "We know only too well that we need to add to the first team squad but at this moment in time there is a limited amount we can do until the takeover is completed," the statement said. Why not just say "as far as Newcastle are concerned I cannot talk about it, we have a non disclosure agreement in place". I don't think he said anything substanial to be fair he just said we are quite well (means the deal done we have to finalize few things) To kill that assumption he said (we should be able to finalize everything by the end of Augest ) Apart from that he simply said it is hard right now cause of the relgation and the wage bill is being very high...

The problem of the sale according to him is the wage bill all buyers are contmplating how to cover such a huge bill. Thats the main thing we have intersted parties but until they know how to cover our big hole no one will finalise this and move on..

He is not goona say anything about the deal... If the deal is about to announce tomrrow he can't say anything he is a broker he have no right to broke the news but it is fair to assume nothing will happen this week.

By End of the month .... Is the transfer window opned for us in September?

Thanks for the link. I doubt if he says anything about the ake over though they are assesing debts of the club so I am sure they will ask him how much Newcastle's Debt harm them to be an attractive propostion.....

I don't think DIC as it is involved but the ruler of Dubai Mohhamed bin AlMaktoum might be the one who is involved in the deal. He worth $28 billion. According to reports AlMaktoum wants Keegan as a manager not Shearer because Keegans global apeal. Some thing might be in the pipe line or really far from it but we shouldn't mislead each other here by providig false information for any reason...
