I am the one who mention Keegan today now it is a big story. No matter what the King is a king until he dies as far as I am concerned he is still breathin....
-
Keagen with free check book would be dream. I wonder what kind of players he would buy if he was Man City manger... He would have bought all the talented players in the world... But for a regular owner Sherarer in myopionin might do the job for the good of the long term value...
-
Sorry to say this but if a billionair buy us I want Keegan as a manger not Shearer
-
The only thing I see not to add up much about Larry Ellison rumours is if the World 4th richest person are intersted in us he won't take this long to do due dilgence. All deals who are involved billioners end quickly.....

The sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2560211/Al-be-back-on-the-box.html Even after relgation and all this mess we still make the headline of the tabloid press. What a club

NEWCASTLE are set to start the season without Alan Shearer in charge. Gary Lineker expects his pal to be sitting next to him on the Match of the Day sofa, rather than in the Toon dugout. BBC pundit Lineker said: "Shearer will be in the studio with us unless something dramatic happens. "It is such a shame that a big club like that can be in a terrible mess. It is hard to know what will happen." The Magpies remain in turmoil after Singapore-based Profitable Group yesterday pulled out of a deal to buy the club. Lineker added: "I have spoken to Alan a couple of times. He doesn't know what's going on at the club. "He has an incredible passion for the club and wants to get them back but he doesn't know who the owners are going to be. He is in limbo - no-man's land. But he'll be welcome back at Match of the Day." The BBC's head of TV sport Philip Bernie said: "We expect Alan to be there as a pundit. That's the plan. "We understand he is in a difficult situation which is not of his making - but he's got a contract with us and we expect him to return. "He's been very reasonable with us and kept us informed of his situation. If he did decide to leave then that's something we would have to sit down and discuss with him and his representatives. But we don't envisage that happening." Lineker, meanwhile, now fears for Newcastle's future. The Toon have a pre-season friendly at home to Leeds tonight after their 6-1 weekend thrashing at Leyton Orient. Former Spurs and Leicester star Lineker added: "If Newcastle don't get their act together soon, they could find themselves getting a bad start to the season and it could go even more pear-shaped. "Look at Leeds and where they have ended up. "But once you slip from the Premier League it is really difficult. "It is much harder than people think and it will be hard for Newcastle. "Their opening game at West Brom will be very interesting." Lineker was back in his home city yesterday for the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games. Leicester is staging the week-long competition for 2,400 athletes with learning disabilities. He said: "It is terrific and Leicester has done a great job. The Special Olympics is the poor relation to the Paralympics but it shouldn't be. "A lot of parents have come up to us and said this is the best thing that has happened to their families' lives. It is a special event. Everyone has the right to play sport."

http://www.championshiptalk.com/championship-animals-newcastle-will-fail-and-other-predictions/594 Stinking Skunks: Newcastle United You can see what I did here: skunks are black and white and so is Newcastle’s kit… well, the one that doesn’t contain shades of urine-yellow, anyway. Newcastle are in serious trouble. They looked bereft of desire last season after Keegan left and this year they won’t even have the excitement of playing against Manchester United or Fulham. Currently, they have no manager. Their owner is desperate to sell, but no one really fancies buying them for the asking price. Their squad holds enough quality to win this league with some ease, but it’s a club with more than a whiff of Leeds about it. Every game they play will be against a team desperate to knock over the largest team in the division. Every team will get a big gate against Newcastle. Fans will back their underdogs all the way. I just can’t see, at the moment, how Newcastle will be able to cope. New owners, a strong manager and a bit of stability could change all that. After all, Sunderland were flailing around like a flock of drowning giraffe a couple of years back until Roy Keane dragged them from bottom to top. But at the moment, 23 clubs are rubbing their hands at the prospect of playing the Magpies. Prediction: 14th.

So sad to see him in this state. I have been his fan since Italia 90. Great person personally also a great football manager. Only Guss Hidink might compare to him right now in football. I belive we still paying for his unjustly sacking into the minute. I wish him all the best for the rest of his life...

Losing by this margin is a disgrace... MA can you please let us go now??? How low can we go....

Some thing postive from the press regarding Big Al situation http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jul/24/alan-shearer-newcastle-united-takeover Alan Shearer has no intention of giving up on his wish to become Newcastle United's manager as he waits for new owners to take control of the floundering Championship club. Comments made by Shearer's close friend Rob Lee today suggested Shearer had run out of patience because of the delay in Mike Ashley's search for a buyer willing to match his £100m asking price and was set to walk away from the club. But that has been denied by Shearer, with sources close to the former England international adamant he is still committed to becoming Newcastle's permanent manager after eight games at the helm last season. A source said: "There is no chance Alan will give up on becoming Newcastle United's permanent manager. He will not walk away and he continues to wait for news regarding the sale of the club." Shearer is undoubtedly frustrated at the lack of progress being made in the sale process, particularly as a number of players he earmarked to strengthen the squad for a Championship promotion push have moved to other clubs. The full-back Chris Gunter has signed for Nottingham Forest, Fraizer Campbell has gone to local rivals Sunderland and Ched Evans, the young Manchester City striker, today completed a £3m move to Sheffield United. However, Shearer still believes he will become manager once a takeover has been completed and there has been discreet contact with several of the consortiums negotiating with Seymour Pierce, the investment bank in charge of finding a buyer. Nevertheless, it is looking increasingly unlikely Shearer will be in charge when Newcastle travel to West Bromwich Albion on 9 August as the proposed sale of the club drags into a third month. United's players have been told to expect Chris Hughton still to be caretaker manager when the new season gets under way. Although several groups remain interested in pushing through a deal, the problems of managing the club's £35m overdraft, and a wage bill which stands at more than £65m a year, means it is taking longer than anticipated for anything to be finalised.

McMahon also said this week this week is critical.... I have funny feeling the Americans will buy us soon....
-
I think this football people given a chance to own this club won't appoint Roeder a head of Martin O'neil. In my opinion the second most stupid Decision FFS made after the Bobby left...
-
the 100m he didn't paid it he just loan his money instead of using a bank money and pay interst rates. The new owner will have to take that 100 mil debt.
-
I think Harris broker good deal for Aston Villa and Man City in the past. Last fall because of the economic crunch our chances collapsed. I also belive the asking price of 100 mil is too high. Ashley got this club two years ego with all the potential and Premier league football for 134 mil. Now with all his stinkey job we relgated and the club is in lots of trouble. with wages and all other burdons for him to excpect only 34 mil loss on us is very unrealistic. If the club have some sort of trust with the help of the city this guy should be sued for all his action. Not only he killed us in the past two years he is deeping our grave now by not putting realistic price on the club and not to put a manger in.

Profitable group is better option for us untermes of plans and sound management. They this stratgicaly and that is a big plus as far as I am concerned.
