  1. This is happening too often for Liverpool and Spurs this season, seemingly to give them both every chance to make the top 4.

This is all incredibly dodgy man. More convinced than ever that something is definitely up.

    Sky glossing over this

They are so fucking shameless man. I am stunned by that.

The ball hits him on his forearm which is well away from his body. What the hell is going on man?!

Just listen tot hat commentary man

Apparently his arm is tucked in beside him and there was a lot of time between that and the goal

These folks are actually being bought off by these clubs

  4. Even if that is not intentional you have to give that.

His hand comes away from his body and knocks the ball forward to trot along and score.

Love the way the commentators are just carrying on like that nonsense was just normal. My God

Antony literally went past three people and played a lovely through ball to kill off the game today. That's after scoring the opener.

He also went past Dan Burn endless times in cup final, but kept turning back.

His issue is decision making which should come in time. It's his first season in this league. I'm getting more and more confident in him as time goes on.

Those two never face up a full back out wide and are able to beat them convincingly man, it's utterly ridiculous.

Time and time again they cut back, maybe cut in a bit and then pass the ball, or in Antony's case sometimes go for the curling shot as well.

We'll see I guess, but I think they both look very average. Maybe with a pair of top class full backs bombing past them all the time each side it might work.

Yes, Gerrard and Lampard work hard. I don't think they have the managerial acumen at the highest level, but I also don't think they have the humility and commitment to the craft which is needed to be successful at the highest level. There are different layers of working hard which I highly doubt they have. There is a huge chasm between working harder than us and spending every waking minute obsessing about how to improve by 0.0001%.

The difference is you get a lot of British managers who just are not capable mentally of doing that, because their playing days were all in an era where it was belt, braces and bluster and nothing more. Or there are those such as Gerrard or Lampard, who played all their careers in winning teams and seem to think that turning themselves into top managers is just a matter of adopting the personal language and habits of this manager or the other, whilst some other sap does the coaching for you.

    .

    Great posts.

I think the points above are pretty much the main points that nail this whole thing.

It really is a damned shame as they must both have so much access to go and spend some time at various clubs to learn and pick the brains of some top managers.

To see what the likes of Kompany and Xabi Alonso are doing in comparison is pretty embarrassing.

Maguire aye but not the other two. Very promising signs from Sancho and Antony lately. They've only both just turned 23.

Be interesting. Think they both look quite ordinary, so not sure about that at all. Neither ever seem able to go past anyone, ever.

We dodged a bullet with Lodi, he’s hopeless

Thought he'd look so much better, however, not sure this setup helps either of the full backs at all. The team is just a mess.

Yep, for all the staunch defence of Cooper in the media, he looks completely out of his depth to me.

His commitment to this diamond midfield most of the season has been so unnecessary.
