  1. Feels like I've been saying it for years now, Sterling's finishing is pretty terrible. Doesn't look like he's improving at it either.

You can see he doesn't even get his body right balance wise before striking the ball. Really bad technique.

Aye those 21 shin in ones must have been pure luck like.

    So unintelligent

I'm glad you realized your faults, it takes a big man to do that.

    2

He scored 21 therefore he must strike the ball well. What a simple mind.

That's dear, i'm glad you based his whole season on this game. Whereas he has scored a fair few well struck goals.

His finishing is good, bad and very poor, rather inconsistent one might say, but it's not always poor as your making out. Unintelligent takes on many forms it would seem.

You are completely wrong in every way.

Based on one game ... so simple minded man.

  3. This would be great if it wasn't for the prospect of Mourinho's smug face later.

I've regained a measure of respect for Mourinho, he's a changed man since the the pinnacle of his egotism when he sacked that Chelsea physio/Dr for doing what was right.

Is this supposed to be tongue in cheek?! What a bizarre post

Yeah it's been the case even since Liverpool, luckily he tends to get into a position a lot so it doesn't hurt his team all that often.

It's crazy to think how many goals he would score each season if he could get it right. He is fantastic at getting into those positions.

Man ... on a team that doesn't produce as many chances though, he would get killed for it. I worry about him this summer in that regard.

  7. Mole I hope to fucking god you're not trying to insinuate here that City's tactic was obviously bad to you but not Pep Guardiola?

They might have just played shite and Liverpool played well.

Yes i am, i'm not for one minute stating i'm smarter than him. I'm not even smarter than fucking Pardew

    My God

  8. Apparent WBA fan on twitter 'If I was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, Pardew and a gun with 2 Bullets - I'd shoot Pardew twice'

I think I tore an abdominal muscle laughing at this man

Don't want it over too quickly though

Would want to watch him suffer

First bullet to his kneecap then wait an hour or so before putting the second into his gut

Have I put too much thought into this?

Yes you have, and it's appreciated

  9. How many years of his 8 year contract with us would be have left at this point?

    2

My goodness that is a terrifying thought

8 year contract man ... we owe Crystal Palace so much I tell you.

  11. Abraham and Loftus-Cheek are young English players, they’re not going for under £20m, man. Look at what Oxlade fetched Arsenal with a year remaining on his deal. Look at Drinkwater to Chelsea. That’s the fee for English players.

Kenedy we have more hope of signing although I really think it’ll be around £20m because he’s young and physically up to it.

Abraham has been messed about at Swansea with the change in manager and just their general poor play prior to that. Hopefully that has humbled him and taught him a harsh lesson. It generally means he will still be seen as a championship level talent for now, so the price should be around the £15 million mark. Loftus-Cheek injuries this season gives us a chance of getting him for around £15 million too IMO. He has done nothing at the top level if you really look at it.

Ox was putting in performances for Arsenal and England already. Full international. Drinkwater had just won the league recently with Leicester and was one of their best players. Very different circumstances.

  12. Physically he’s up to it which not many of our players are. I’d say only him, Shelvey and our defenders are up to it physically in terms of strength and pace. The rest of our team is either slow or weak.

Hope Chelsea don’t ask for too much although I can see the price coming close to £20m.

£20m?! No chance man. They won't ask for that much.

Think what we should aim to do this summer is offer £40m for Kenedy, Abraham and Loftus-Cheek.

I think these three are tremendous talents. Kenedy has been great for us, and Abraham and Loftus-Cheek haven't quite had obviously good seasons, and we should take advantage of that with the pair of them. Think Rafa would have them both looking like stars in his system along with Kenedy, who is already showing major potential.

    Big summer ahead.

Would you be happy for those 3 for Lascelles?

Incredibly tempting man. I love Lascelles, but I do think Rafa is great at spotting a top defender and setting a team up to defend in general, and so replacing him wouldn't be a disaster.

I do love Lascelles leadership and personality though. Very difficult question. hopefully the interest from Chelsea is not real, and we can do a deal for any of their players seperately.

Rafa seems to have a good relationship with Chelsea from his time there, and he rates and has previously gone for Kenedy, Loftus-Cheek and Abraham, so it will be interesting man.

  13. Pretty sure Bournemouth had to pay £20m for Ake, so it will be around that.

Ake had just completed a very succesful full season at Bournemouth and he was  closer to featuring with Chelsea than Kenedy has been for them. Also think there was other interest in the prem for Ake, and so that factored too.

It's a good point, but I just have a feelign they won't be looking fo rthe same amount for Kenedy. He hasn't been as much an obvious success, with us being down the table and not getting as much attention this season. If we had got Kenedy in the summer say, and we were around 8th or 10th place and he was playing l ike he has been, then we would be looking at around the same money as that Ake deal then.

  14. Physically he’s up to it which not many of our players are. I’d say only him, Shelvey and our defenders are up to it physically in terms of strength and pace. The rest of our team is either slow or weak.

    Big summer ahead.

  15. He'll be the club record signing at around £17m in a few months.

Not really convinced they'll ask for that much you know. He was nowhere near their first team, and got sent home from that tour in asia because he did something naughty.

Think we're going to be able to nick him for around £10 - £12 million.

  16. It's as if playing behind the striker actually made him a better central midfielder.

It's as though he finds the amount of space he now has to play in central midfield so much easier than he ever has, even when he played there earlier in his career.

  17. Allardyce still maintains a 4-4-2 with Everton being completely dominated in midfield due to ManCity's extra man in there.

He has actually just removed one midfielder for another instead of adding one and taking off one of the forwards

    Just stop .

Sorry man. The guy is just awful

Premier league record 82.1% possession for an away side.
