Benteke has been out of form for a while now. Worst thing he can do is join a Pardew team. Don't fancy his chances of performing well at all. Adebayor couldn't produce for Pardew, and I think it might be the same kind of scenario for Benteke.

He played both out wide and striker in France. He did well in both positions there. Obviously playing wide under Pardew means your essentially playing as a second full bak, which ruined Gouff's life.

Gouffran would kill it at this level and not having to play under Pardew. People forget how good he was initially.

Gouffran, Riviere and Saivet are worth using and would improve our team as things stand.

Disappointed with Silva playing so deep, so changed him for Martial. At 9.5m he's expensive but he could easily reach double digit goals and assists this season.

Silva wasn't deep at all! But good week to switch him out as they play the Champions League qualifier today, and then they play 12:30pm Saturday. I took him out too.

He'll be going back in again later though. Both he and De Bruyne were given complete freedom to play just off Aguero.

Just my opinion. Andros has more end product. He's not as skilful or quick but he's better in the final third.

 

He was never actually 100% fit for us and still finished something like 3rd highest scorer or thereabouts.

 

I agree, and if he can get to full fitness and a tad leaner would be better than Bolasie.

 

Bolasie is a bit like a Sissoko type winger, big power, fast but rarely scores.

 

Me personally would take a fully fit Townsend over Bolasie.
