Went onto a Brighton forum, just to see what other Championship clubs think of the signings were making. First comment on there Dwight Gayle thread. "I hope they fail miserably for trying to buy there way out of the league"

Now that's funny. This season is going to be fun man.

Bournemouth will play Iturbe and Gradel out wide next season. Surprised no one else in the prem is after Ritchie though. Works out quite nicely for us. 15 goals and 17 assists last time in the championship is absolutely nuts.

This signing also has the added bonus of making Pardew look a wally if he scores loads for us in the championship to help seal promotion, and then continues to do so in the prem. Would be very delicious.

More than happy for Anita to continue at right back. He was absolute quality there in the prem, and so should be allowed to continue in that position and see if he can lock it down for good once Janmaat goes.

I like that he always has a lost look on his face.

Ritchie wouldn't start at West ham in actuality. Payet and Feghouli will be out wide as things stand, so no longer an option I would imagine.

Yup. I'm sure he will. Pardew actually played him out wide at times, which was similar to his foolishness with Cisse.

Really think he'll come in and have a similar impact to Townsend. Not much expected because he hasn't been used enough, and he'll prove he's a very useful player. I think he'll be a favourite. Also done the business in the championship previously with Peterbrough, so he's proven in this league.

£25m on three players in The Championship.

Around £8 million per. Not that bad I don't think.

Matt Ritchie incoming according to a broon sauce so Townsend must be away

Can't remember much of him from last season, but from watching some clips just now it seems he's a left footed player that likes to come in from the right side, much like Townsend, so a likely replacement yeah.

Had a really good record of goals and assists in the championship so fair enough. His set pieces look really good in that clip too, which would be a nice bonus.

Don't know why they're pissed. Pardew never plays him!

I really like Leicester's approach so far. The likes of Deeney and Brady, who they've targeted, are good players that fit in with the bunch they already have, and not huge signings of a much higher calibre that might not really gel with the make up of their squad.

Not sure why people are so convinced that he'd score goals in the championship when the same people are also convinced that Perez and Mitrovic are not good enough.

 

Especially when their PL goal records are practically the same, i'm not against signing him at all but not convinced that it's so certain he'll be any more of a success than what we already have.

Well he did get 13 goals in 29 with Peterbrough in the Championship at in the 2012/13 season, so he's scored goals in that league already.

Really happy with this. He will score goals. Palace have had managers that can't look past his height and so won't stick with him up front. Still usually scores when he does get long enough out on the pitch As a first option he will score goals.

Reminds me a lot of Defoe in his style of play. Ironically Defoe got messed about by Allardyce initially because he insisted on a big lump up top. When he eventually relented because none of those types were scoring, look what happened.

Both he and Defoe actually do a good enough job of keeping the ball if it is played into their feet, but if you are launching long balls at their head, then yeah it won't stick.

This will be a really good signing IMO.

Was a genuine question, I don't think Fulham have been on telly much the last season because they are terrible now so wondered if the hype was justified.

Ah, okay. Yeah, definitely caught a couple of their games on telly last season. He's just the type of striker I really like, quick, athletic and mobile. His record in the championship at that age is pretty impressive too. Mostly based on that really.

The Roma one is so great.

England need to target someone that is attack minded man. Might as well try and be fun to watch at least. Who was the last guy that looked to get forward and score goals, and had a clue how to make that happen?

Can't believe Dembele (Fulham) has ended up at Celtic, sure his agent was talking up interest from Juve/Monaco/Spurs etc... a few months ago.

 

Ben Arfa to Sevilla nearly a done deal.

Would have loved us to be after Dembele. Super young and scored in the Championship. Clearly has the ability to eventually play in the prem too. Thought he'd end up somewhere far better and was therefore out of our reach.

Bet he doesn't play as well under that clown. Pardew has no clue what he is doing. Will be really unfortunate for Townsend.
