England don't really have any wide men that are real goal threats, which is a worry. Both Sterling and Lallana can be really inconsistent in that respect.

England finally look like they have a functioning midfield. The three look very nicely balanced in there. Everything else has flowed nicely from there.

England look really fluid. Really impressed so far.

Dier doing a great job as the holding mid, finding the midfielders ahead of him with great little passes on the floor.

What result do you guys prefer to have here do you think? A draw maybe? From England's point of view I mean.

That's got to be a great moment for Wales man. Pretty cool.

How does a manager justify signing Sissoko to the owner?

Does he score goals? No.

Does he pass well and distribute the ball efficiently? No.

Does he beat players consistently? No.

Does he win the ball back? No.

Does he head the ball? No.

Does he whip in crosses? No.

Is he a good leader? No.

What does he do then? He is fast and looks threatening on the counter, just before he proceeds to fluff his lines.

Some joker will pay big bucks for him though make no mistake, and good luck to them.

Thought Giroud's goal was a foul to be honest, he elbowed the Goalie's arm out of the way which made it almost impossible to catch. Probably wrong as nobody else seemed to mention it but looked obvious from the slo-mo. Desperately wanted it disallowed so my Razvan Rat FGS bet could still come in mind.

Yeah, noticed the elbow too. Too hard to spot in real time I guess, and it probably doesn't happen if the goalie is more commanding in his claim. He was a bit of a wuss on the attempt really. Got punished. But yeah, technically a foul.

He is so poor man. Did you see the chances he spurned today? Almost cost them the win. Was very fortunate that Payet got that goal. The heat would have been on him for sure.

I knew he was going to make a mess of that. His technique is absolutely diabolical. The state of that strike man.

Remember his similar breakaway towards the end of the season after some great play, and the finish was such a let down. Made it so obvious that he was going to open up his body. Urgh.

Absolutely ridiculous

So I went onto YouTube to see if there were any highlight vids on Mehdi from last season.

He looks completely different now. Playing a far more box to box role, and was beating players and showing some fantastic ability on the ball. He looks so good.

We are so impossibly clueless with young players man. Tragic.
