Will be interesting to see who is on that side to help Colback with Mahrez.

Colback really needs to just stay deep and not bomb on too much. Look to play in crosses from deep rather than get down the line in support.

Shelvey needs to just make sure he doesn't get too far forward. He has the ability to distribute from further back anyway.

The good thing about Anita is that at least he has the speed and mobility to cover for Shelvey when needed.

Playing Shelvey and Colback was always crazy to me, as the pairing completely lacked any kind of mobility in the centre.

Think we'll see more of a 4-4-1-1. I think our wide players need to stay with the midfield initially to aid our build up play and the 4-4-1-1 would allow for that.

Gini really doesn't do a great job of dropping off and getting involved in play from that number 10 role, and plays more like a second striker, and so I think this approach would help with that. Also I'm hoping Perez drops into gaps from the left to help with the build up through the centre too.

I could see Perez being utilized the way Benayoun was under Rafa. Coming in from the left and getting involved in play.

Anita is probably our most tactical/disciplined DM, and the most mobile. Not surprised he's got the nod. Alongside Shelvey the passing through the middle should really be much improved, so will be watching for that. Shelvey just needs to sit deeper and make plays from the back and not leave gaps behind. Very interested to see how it comes together.

It's all about the way it functions. He'll have whoever he has picked fulfilling some sort of role, so at least it should work better than anything we have seen previously. Going to be fascinating that's for sure. Really looking forward to it.

Most of Rafa's duds were for modest fees anyway (£5million range), so can't fault him too much. They usually still contributed to the squad too. Think his record in the market for Liverpool was pretty good.
