  1. Boro - I live on teesside & work with a load of their fans, fans with giant chips on their shoulders about us for some unknown reason Spuds - we're going to get into the champions league no, you're not Pompey - they've got some decent players I'd like to see us sign if they went down
  2. Amazing how good Enrique looks with Jonas playing in front of him & how shit he looks with Duff in front of him. Weird that isn't it?
  3. And because we don't practice what to do when we're not defending our attacking play has turned to shit
  4. Houghton manages a win Xisco plays (briefly) We win away from home Did hell freeze over?
  5. Unless we get a 4th early on it'l be squeaky bum time for sure... Surely we cant fu*k this up tho, can we?? This is Newcastle we're talking about, of course we can fuck it up.
  6. He played in the Champion's League with us, more than he'll ever do with that shower of shite.

    Ryan Taylor

http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2009/02/06/ryan-taylor-i-ll-play-anywhere-72703-22870466/ Oh fucking hell, don't let read that. He'll have him playing in goal.
  8. Can we have that in English for those of us who aren't accountants?

    Peter Beardsley

Bobby Moncur is apparently a better judge of potential than Bill McGarry & Dave Sexton
  10. Utter drivel. Yeah, he will "save" a huge amount in player wages, but at the same time the income from sponsorship & TV rights will drop by a greater amount so he'd lose even more money. It's like saving on your heating bills by setting fire to your house. As to the lower league player who will be in Kinnear's plans for next season, so what? We've been linked with a few young players from lower divisions, it doesn't mean anything other than someone thinks they'd fit into our team. As to Kinnear lying through his teeth, I've no doubt the guy talks utter bullshit 99% of the time, if he told me it was sunny outside I'd be tempted to grab an umbrella just in case. Why this is suddenly part of some devious cockney conspiracy is beyond me.
  11. I'd have a cardboard cut-out of Wise as a manager over Kinnear now.
  12. idiotic at best. if he crashes and burns then we crash and burn with him. No we dont we start -12 points. Are you drunk, a mackem or just insane?
  13. I'm pretty sure they don't do it on purpose. It's called being drunk and not being able to control yourself and be aware of the consequences. I can think of a couple who might do it on purpose. Regardless of that, why have their managers or agents not sat them down & told them that as a professional footballer, especially in the Premiership, they should probably not go anywhere near any public pubs or nightclubs? Private events are fine since they're more strictly controlled but some random nightclub in Manchester, London, Liverpool or down the Quayside is always going to get it's fair share of drunks up for a fight with a celebrity.
  14. Why do some players let themselves in for it though? Surely they know they're going to get a load of stick from any fans of other teams (& their own fans if they've been shit).
  15. He's not been involved in the day-to-day running of it, other than writing cheques. He employed Mort and then Llambias to run it for him. It's possible that he's now realising that Llambias has made a complete fuck up of the job & wants to see what's going on more closely.

    ITV

There was a decent sized internet petition complaining about how shit ITV were when they had the Premiership highlights. Think it got over 100,000 names on it by the end. The FA momentarily looked up from over their huge pile of cash, laughed and then went back to throwing handfuls of £50's around their offices, briefly interrupted by them lighting their cigars with £10's. They don't give a shit who has the broadcast rights for the games, as long as the money keeps coming in.
  17. Doesn't even take training and not in an aloof MON kind of way, but just a sad loping sit in office drink tea kind of way. Is there any reason I should believe this? is there any reason not to? have you seen us play? Seeing us play I'd be more inclined to believe JFK does take training. I guarantee he doesn't. Calderwood was brought in cause Houghton was doing it practically single handed. Manager & Assistant both taking a hands-off approach in training? No wonder the team have no fucking idea what to do on the pitch
  18. That's a bit like saying pity the people who paid for three years season tickets didn't read the fine print. I'm getting tired of hearing this line of reasoning. Why, did the fine print on the tickets say all this shite might happen? Weirdly I think there is, or there used to be, a disclaimer on all season tickets that basically states even if we're shit, you paid your money, you're not getting it back, or like buying shares Past performance is no indicator of future success There was a court case, can't remember who it involved might have been Forest, where a season ticket holder sued the club for the price of his season ticket because they were playing so poorly.
  19. Good to hear a range of opinions, nice to see that they gave everyone equal time & no one was shouted down for their thoughts, even when they were drunken ramblings. The t-shirt idea isn't bad, I'd buy one with this on: http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/6143/roflbot0rqftx3.jpg http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/roflbot0rqftx3.jpg/1/w220.png
  20. They gatecrashed the supporter's panel & they wonder why no one wants to speak to them?
  21. Sounds very plausible to me, at least I believe that Given thought JFK is/was a fuckwit, that was pretty obvious from Given's reaction to the Liverpool game. With JFK having no understanding of tactics, it should fall to Houghton to fill in the gaps in the game plan, but Houghton's all over the place tactically too. JFK + clever assistant might work, or at least paper over the more obvious cracks, but JFK + Houghton doesn't work at all.
  22. Back before we appointed Roeder permanently I was of the same opinion that Bruce simply wasn't good enough, was living off his former-man-utd-player status and his habit of walking out on clubs was a bit off-putting. But since then he's managed to get his teams playing decent football at times, they defend extremely well when necessary and he's done pretty well in the transfer market with a few cheaper players who have immediately looked at home in the Premiership. Apparently, when Ferguson was talking in the dressing room Bruce was listening and taking notes for the future, unlike some other high profile examples. I'd have him here in a heartbeat, plus I think he sees the Newcastle job as "the one that got away" so there's a damned good chance he'd want to come here too.
