  1. WOWSERS .. theres still enough quality there .. but it makes the job a little less daunting
  2. Boonie was too busy necking down cans of VB to beat his record of 52 cans from London to Sydney.
  3. Are you Michael Hussey by any chance Michael Edward Killeen Hussey? Yes .. played for Durham in 2005 .. a true modern legend of australian cricket no not me me mate - did play twice for benfield school under u'12s in 1982, though.... am a hussain, not a hussey Just as big an achievement as 19 test centuries. Its funny though because alot of Australian cricketers that have played for Durham are all massive toon fans. Like Hussey and Marcus North.
  4. Moi aussi. But I guess he did alright in the first half, him and Perch provided the platform for the others to go and play. Maybe. I would start Marv every game .. hes a matchwinner, capable of creating that special moment, hes also fantastic at keeping possession and keeping the tempo. So what if he cant tackle. Sissoko and Cabaye can.

  6. add gosling to the out list True that Hussey
  7. Doubt it, Koscielny didn't start at the weekend. Not sure why you care so much mind I feel that Mbiwa would be happier with his decision to come here, if he was selected. Though I guess it will inspire him to put in some mint performances for us to get him back in the side.
  8. Fair enough .. Id still have him in over Konscielny and Rami.. Its probably due to him not starting on the weekend.. FUCKING PARDEW
  9. Im fucking furious right here Who are the 4 other centrebacks selected..
  10. I agree with this. He was on fire at the start of the relegation season, by the end of it he was useless. He performed "ok" in the championship. First season up he really struggled at the start of the season, he was made to look better by his partnership with Enrique. The past two seasons hes really struggled. The only time his performances have been worthy of a club of our stature were when he played as a deep midfielder on our unbeaten run.
  11. Wheres Mbiwa .. fucking joke that hes not in the side.
  12. I'd like to see Cabaye and Ben Arfa out the door too, otherwise I agree. Dont be silly. I would sell Tiote if it was going to fund two other quality signings and I cant see Coloccini staying as much as I love the guy as a player.

    Sammy Ameobi

    Obviously Obertans fault.
  14. This Summer Id like to see the following:: OUT: Tiote Coloccini Ranger Williamson IN: Capoue Douglas Aubemayang Siem de Jong
  15. Taylor and Ameobi saving us. Does the man learn. It will be Sissoko, Cabaye, HBA, Mbiwa, Coloccini, Krul and Cisse. The Stars and Spine of the team.
  16. Fat Ash will just be in Toon to be on hand to strike a deal if an irrresistable offer comes along, whether that be buying or selling
  17. Sad but true, Jonas likewise. Not sure what the deal is, did anyone see Pardew with Jonas after...he seemed to be consoling Jonas hugging him tight and whispering sweet nothings into his ear... either Jonas is going through a rough spell off the pitch or he really is Pardews favorite. Looked almost odd to me.. doing that with Colo would have made sense. I think it was because Jonas wasn't meant to start, until Marv got injured. Jonas would have been pissed off, just a bit of man management for the Pards.
  18. Could be Cahill, but I think Benitez prefers Ivanovic.
  19. Aye, also does Cech have any chance of making the game or is he ruled out? praying Turnbull plays. Perfect example of a championship keeper looking well out of his depth in the PL. Cech is doubtful and David Luis is ruled out. Think we have a chance in this. A win here would really be a bonus.
  20. Turnbull Azplioicueta Ivanovic. Terry. Cole Ramires. Lampard. Mata. Oscar. Bertrand Ba
  21. Krul Debuchy. Mbiwa. Coloccini. Santon Perch Gouffran. Cabaye. Sissoko. Anita. Cisse

Newcastle news Toon French influx 'following Arsenal' January 30, 2013 RECOMMEND11TWEET1EMAILPRINT By Ian Holyman, France Correspondent The man behind Newcastle United's French invasion has admitted the north-east club hope to emulate Arsenal's past success with players from the opposite side of the Channel. GettyImages Newcastle have brought in a number of French players this month • Blog: Bonjour! Bonjour! As the club's chief scout since 2010, Graham Carr has engineered the arrival of 11 players from Ligue 1, including five in the current transfer window alone. Four of them played a part in Newcastle's 2-1 victory at Aston Villa on Monday, and although the result still leaves Alan Pardew's side languishing in the lower reaches of the Premier League, Carr hopes the Frenchmen can help provide the required boost to steer the club to safety before working towards sustained success. "We're going to try and get close to what Arsenal did, an excellent model, but you have to be realistic. Arsenal had [Thierry] Henry, [Emmanuel] Petit and [Patrick] Vieira, who were among the best players in the world," he told L'Equipe. "At Newcastle, that's not yet the case." While Carr refuted the idea a French coach would be the perfect fit at St James' Park, he believes Pardew would back him if he recommended the club's chequebook be opened once again for another raid on the French top-flight. "I love France and French players. If we're recruiting them it's because we've had a lot of fun and success working with Hatem Ben Arfa and Yohan Cabaye. They're really good players, very professional, indispensable today. They're intelligent, understand quickly what you want, and have a very good tactical culture," Carr, who saw some 20 Ligue 1 games in January alone, said. "It's because French youth academy training is excellent, really. Our wish was to recruit young players with a future, such as [Mapou] Yanga-Mbiwa, [Massadio] Haidara, [Moussa] Sissoko. They're young and are going to progress further." Cabaye and Ben Arfa's displays in black-and-white have earned them adoration, and Sissoko was singled out for praise by Pardew after the Villa match. The midfielder, picked up from Toulouse last week, provided the pass for Papiss Cisse to score before Cabaye added a decisive second goal. "We would not have won without him," Pardew said. Vindicated by their performances on the pitch, Carr hit back at the critics, which have included Premier League veterans Vieira and Steed Malbranque recently, who claim the French players will form a dressing-room clique, undermining team spirit. "I'm convinced it'll go well. I don't agree with those who think the massive influx of French players is going to create a problem. Cabaye and Ben Arfa have integrated well, as has [sylvain] Marveaux, they speak English," he said.

    Alan Pardew

Fuck you Pardew. grow some balls and attack a lead. You were lucky today. Also stop playing your favorites (Jonas & Ameobi) when it is clearly detrimental to the team.
