Not forgetting all the other half witts and jackies that Ashley sounded out for the job.
-
Why would I care whether he's good enough for Ashley? He's not good enough for a club of this stature so he'll get called for it. Because he's the man who will employ the next manager and he's been delighted with Pardew, he views him as the best appointment he's made, hence the 8 year deal. He's going to give the job to someone who he hopes can match Pardew's last 3 years, not surpass them. Yeah I get why Ashley's delighted to employ a lickspittle, but I'm a fan so I don't have to agree with it. The reason I have begrudgingly cautioned against strong opposition in the past is because there is very little that Mike Ashley has done or will ever do that I can put any faith in whatsoever. We could mount massive pressure against each and every one of his managerial appointments we disagree with and see a consistently worsening situation similar to the relegation season where we went through 72 managers in 9 months. We could see a far better manager installed, but then I believe that wouldn't last because anyone with any ambition, morals, skill or pride would be at loggerheads with the owner very soon, as we saw with Keggy. Working for Ashley requires a lick-spittle, yes-man, prick willing to tow the line and not rock the boat. Pardew is perfect there. Of course, the whole fear of rocking the boat too much argument, in case of losing points, loses any credence once even the limited expectations placed on the manager cannot be even partially matched. Where's your damn spine gone? What happened to you to make you so afraid of the unknown? It's not unknown. We have 7 years of evidence showing how ashley works with managers. Good and bad. Allardyce - Binned after 6 months KK - walked out after 6 months Joe Kinnear - Ill health Shearer - Never called back after 8 games Hughton - sacked after promotion and a steady start in the prem league Pardew - here forever Hardley a great track record of working with managers.

Im desperetae to get a season ticket back since i jacked it in after the relegation but I just cant bring myself to fund this football club until Ashley leaves. Im not having the piss taken out of me. Like others have said, invest the clubs own money into the team, hire a proper manager, high an MD, hire a proper qualifed DoF and allow the team and club to challenge for europe, the cups and the stadum will fill out with fans paying more then enough. He has absolutely missed the whole point of NUFC and its fans.
-
We could give ourselves a good chance of attacking the higher league postions if we had an MD, a recognised DoF, made regular permanent signings which haven't been bought for the purpose to re sell within a season or two and not just rely on loan signings to see us throughperiods where we have sold the crown jewels late in a window.

She doesn't have a camels toe, she has an elephants foot.

Knowing he has to REALLY f*** up to get the boot. With our 'ambition' he has more job security than practically every other manager in the league. So Pardew is an ambitionless wanker.
-
Question to ask is, what is in it for Pardew to hang around? Many journalists consider him a good manager, has done a "good job" at NUFC, other fans I talk to seem to think he is doing a good job...The job at nufc is a ballache, players get sold, under investment, told he cant go for cups, cant chase a european spot. So whats in it for Pardew, why not walk away and find a job where he doesn't have such tight restrictions placed upon him and the team. Why not find a team that wants to improve. What does Alan pardew get for hanging around in a dead end job??

Where's TrolleMache Here I am! Wheeee. Might as well go through them: KK: Thought it fishy because the decision to appoint a DoF so quickly after KK arrived was just so, so bizarre- how could that ever end well? There are two ways of looking at it, one of which is that they shouldn't have hired a DoF, the other that hiring KK knowing a DoF was in the pipeline was a horrendous error. Either way, car crash. Find it hard to understand anyone's motivation as it just looks like rank stupidity. Hughton: Had loads of sympathy for him but, as I tend to do with new managers, got behind Pardew pretty sharpish and gave the club the benefit of the doubt. Stadium name: extremely sad to see the stadium renamed. Personally emailed the CEO of Wonga masquerading as a marketing expert, to suggest he renamed it St James' Park, about 2 days before he did so. In his reply he said my suggestion had been 'eerily interesting'. True story. Branding: Much less fussed about that, ugly though it is... big question is are we getting anything out of it? I've heard mixed accounts on that one. Cups: Livid. Why rest players v Cardiff for f***'s sake, given where we are in the league. Completely nonsensical. Higher than 8th: Realistically going to be hard to get higher than that on a consistent basis, even if we chuck in squillions and hire a genius manager. For now I'm happy as long as the team improves, and worried in case it doesn't, but don't think it'll make a vast difference in terms of league placing. JFK: Mental Pardew: Average Wise: See 'Keegan' Llambias: No strong feelings Pretty much smoothed over a really bad piece of nufc history, they also fucked Alan Shearer about and didnt even have the decency to call him up to say he wasn't getting the job. And remember the line from Llambias "you dont know how nasty we can be". Why do people gve them their hard earned cash

Where's TrolleMache For got a relegation, two solid thrashing of Sunderland AT HOME, one of our worst ever premier league finishes last season. Selling players depsite saying "no players will be sold" - saying we will buy replacements, then producing loan players as a stop gap. Flogging our best assets at inappropriate times. The list just grows and people chuck 500 quid + a season at these morons. Boggles the mind.
-
And to think people on here tried to defend them through the whole KK thing, Hughton, the naming of the stadium, the awful SD branding all over the stadium, not challenging for anything in the cups or a higher place in the league than 8th., Joe kinnear, Alan Pardew, Dennis Wise, Derek Llambias... i mean come on.

Total double standards.
-
We will win against Villa, then pardew will come to the post match press conference like King Xerxes from the film 300.
-
What's your problem with that? Apart from the hypothetical nature of it, it suggests a desire for Newcastle fans to lose games. I think we will win but if it meant the end of Parlies I would take a defeat.

Winner sports man, Winnet sports isd a piss take.
