I think you've said this enough times that you don't need to quote yourself, man. FFS

Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 Newcastle United (02/09/23)

Maybe not. But they've certainly have been miles better than all you've mentioned but Leicester. And who knows where Leicester would have been if they didn't lose their owner in the helicopter crash? -
I assumed you must be kidding.

It really was a minor miracle that we didn't lose 4-0 in that game. -

we were absolutely lucky to survive and get a point against them in the same fixture last year. -

Exactly. But don't be too surprised when they make a team about their level look shit. We of course played right into their hands to help them a bit, but I find it annoying how people undervalue Brighton ever damn year. -

They've made a few teams, including Arsenal, look dog shit and uncompetitive though. They are more than capable of it. -

which is odd when people say that they were only passably decent today. -

I am just saying that I am totally not surprised that we got played off the park by a really solid team. Some of the pre-match stuff about Brighton was bizarre, since they have been doing this for awhile now. -

maybe beats them. -

We were outwitted and outplayed by a team at home roughly at our level. We certainly could have played better, and probably played right into their hands, but I think Brighton are here to stay. -

They are going to spank a few decent teams at home, as they have done for a few years now. If you think that we are a level above them, then I think you need to reconsider your position. I fully expect to beat them in the home fixture. -

And you will find last week was a blip when they challenge for the top 6 all year. It's pretty obvious, man. -

We seem to collectively underestimate Brighton on here every year now. -

The obvious bright side is that we got four awful fixtures out of the way. -
The vast majority of you are being annoyingly reasonable.

We've just mentioned what the aim probably is, man. Jesus.
-
yeah. Would be nice if everyone shared your sense of perspective, man.
-
No but I think the owners were expecting the possibility of a blip. Ashworth mentioned it in the doc. Consolidating in the top 6 should be the realistic goal.

Wilson is fucking great, and still somehow underestimated. -
Reminds me a little bit of when he first came in. What he was trying just wasn't working out. Obviously there is good reason to hope that it will click soon enough.

Are you so certain? His great work over nearly two years has apparently bought him only Man City and Liverpool. This game has been absolute dogshit, and very predictable, mind you. 3-0 richly deserved and hopefully a kick up the ass for everyone.

And you are obviously the sole possessor of reason on here. Don't get me wrong. Overall I think you are a great contributor and a very important voice in the forum, but hell, sometimes your wording could make many on here misconstrue it as hubris.
