I think Nolan, Carroll, Barton (if on the right wing) and Enrique will make the difference between staying up or going down. We need all of them fit for the rest of the season which could be a problem in Barton's and Enrique's case.

His comments on Ranger were pretty disgraceful IMO. What did he say?
-
Will clearly be the team? I hope so and fucking hope Smith stays where he's best - at home or on the bench. Enrique back would be a big bonus as well.
-
Oh, just realized we'll play them again in a month or so.

For the first time this season, I'm worried. I was worried as soon as the clown took over.
-
What I think is strange about Routledge is that he looked like (next to Carroll) our only good offensive player against Man Utd in the first game. Against Villa he looked very very good again. Why did he start declining after all that?
-
I'm happy that it's still 0-0. Hope we can get something from this.
-
Aye, in my local team we had that sort of 'tactic' as well. Play the worst player(s) up front so they won't do too much damage.
-
Why not go and drown both?

It's the other way round.

Hughton isn't here anymore, just for your info. Yeah, excellent observation, Poirot. Still seems strange to just start changing the captaincy around, no? Then again you're probably so erect at the thought of Barton being captain to consider that. Keegan changed the captaincy when he arrived here as well. Geremi was captain and Smith had it because Geremi was away at the African cup of nations.

Good decision by Pardew to not give it to Smith.
-
They've got Krul, Carroll and Taylor right. Wow, impressive.

Pointless. Absolutely pointless. You are all missing Pardew's genius, we are going to wear Spurs out for 80 minutes shutting shop, then when they are too fucked to attack anymore we got 4 up front and grab a couple. The man is fucking amazing. Yeah, amazing.
-
well we won 6-0 vs villa with them both :desperatly looking for any straw to clutch: Yeah, because I was at SJP that day.
-
I thought we might can get something from this game before, but now, playing with only 9 players it'll be very difficult.

I hope it's Barton off Carroll. Could work. Why? Barton hardly ever gets that far forward these days. If Pardews plays him off Carroll he is already forward. Why Barton there though? He doesn't have the mobility of Routledge if we are playing 4-4-1-1 and is much more important in midfield. He's a good player but can't play every role. He's never done it for us so it could be worth a try. Routledge in there would make sense, though.
-
To have Smith and Perch both starting is quite scary actually.

That the same Ferguson that played a blinder at Chelsea? At least he has shown he can play there well..... Didn't he play left wing against Chelsea, though?

Best?
