  1. Loki's account had done a weird sudden heel turn. Wonder if he's a Sony hire.
  2. This is going to be a ludicrous 7 days, back to reality I reckon
  3. Plenty have come back stronger and more appreciative of their careers because of it. We've seen the opposite of Ben Arfa. How so? When he came back he got his head down, worked hard and did what he was told. In fact weren't his two wonder goals post injury? And indeed the best football we've seen under Pardew? Which is why his injury can't really be factored in. He's played the best football of his career post-injury. While at the same time the two clubs he's played for have played some of the most negative football the league has ever seen.

  5. 3.5 years of Pardew man Should get the keys to the city
  6. Can't answer you that, perhaps he thought he was at a real football club where in reality Pardew would have been gone months before, or that his turgid start might have hastened his departure. But really, I have no idea.
  7. I think he overplayed his hand this summer and left it too late. He was expecting Pardew to go as was everyone else. AC Milan have signed Taraabt ffs, you telling me there's nowhere in world but Hull for HBA? Nonsense.
  8. What? With his talent he should be playing Champions League football for a top club. In reality, the carcass of his promising career is rotting in Hull. Behind David Meyler in the pecking order. Pathetic mess is perfectly suitable. He's 27. Because Bruce and Pardew don't rate him doesn't mean he's finished.
  9. Well quite. Cabtona thing has got me man Banned for a month for headbutting someone, went to each individual on the panel and called them an idiot to their face and for another month
  10. "Pathetic mess of his career"? Shit like this is why people like Pardew earn millions and laugh in our faces.
  11. Jesus, read the Cantona wiki HBA was a fucking saint
  12. Which managers dealt with hba in his early 20's other than Deschamps? Who has proven to be utter shit. What's your point? It don't have one. It was a (genuine) question, not a statement. To be fair you're more about statements usually Don't know about Cantona though, who was the Lyon manager hba fell out with?

  14. ? So someone who wasted their God given talent won't suffer fools? I doubt very much he sees a connection between his talent and being told to run a lot by the likes of Pardew and Bruce. It's convenient for the argument but I honestly think you need to draw a line before pre-PL HBA, he was a daft little cunt then and has admitted it. He grew up with us and put up with years of Pardew before he lost his shit, let's clarify that: YEARS OF PARDEW. As a flair player Moving to Bruce was unwise but if he's encountered another fuckwit then fair play to him. He's clearly not got the mentality and drive to be at the absolute top but to overlook the impact of a shit manager is really ludicrous when you think about this board and the absolute joker we've suffered for 4 years. I kind of agree with you but I honestly think even under Mourinho / Ferguson / guardiola he would have had the same problems. I don't think the manager is the problem here it is him . I guess there will never be a correct answer but the way this lads career has gone with the talent he has got I would say the fingers point mainly at him Someone just mentioned Cantona. Perfect example, another genius acting the utter cunt in his early 20's but hit the right manager at the right time and... I agree that HBA's problems are largely his own but to not acknowledge (a) the fact he seemed to have grown up a lot after the leg break and (b) the absolute shitness of Pardew and how long he kept quiet is doing him a misservice imo. If Cabtona had landed in England with Joe Kinnear I suspect his career might have been slightly different. True but on the other hand he pushed out Anderson Nani etc Neither had a fraction the talent of hba. And both were still on the books when he left no? It's ludicrous to put it all on hba, just as it's ludicrous to put it all on Pardew for him failing with us. However if you're taking percentages then Pardew is winning that contest like, hands down. We saw at the end of 2011/12 what hba could do in the right environment. One man decided to fuck that off.

  17. There's clearly an element in the lad that won't suffer fools, like a few on here and in life in general really.
  18. When is he, or indeed the press, going to realise that "setting up" (stumbling over) a system that relies entirely on one player to succeed is a really, really shit idea? Again it's reported like he can do nothing about it. Well he lost Sissoko, they were probably lucky to only concede 4 etc
  19. Over 16 games the fixtures essentially balance though, it'll soon be 19 and we'll probably be 10th, right where we want to be. I've got looked that hard but is this a 96 season where the fixtures are loaded against us or something, is that what you're getting at?
  20. That last year culminating in the world cup was hard to watch with Messi, I can't imagine what was going on with him strolling about the pitch looking barely interested.
  21. This is it like, at the end of the day there's no one who ever made the top grade in football who didn't push themselves as far and father than anyone else. Messi has "dropped off"* as his work rate and attitude have seemingly taken a nose dive. If Benny has the attitude he'd have been at the top, it's really that simple. *in relative terms before anyone starts
