Makes it even more insulting to Belgians. I like your style.

Given is still top of the tree in my lifetime at least. The number of points he earned us was quite astonishing, possibly saving us from near relegation a few times. love Tim Krul, top class keeper, a few more consistent seasons and he will no doubt jump ahead of Given in my eyes.

If you can't get the best out of a player like Papiss Cisse then you're doing something seriously wrong tbh. Give him chances, he will take them.
Not once have we even tried the 4-3-3 that had him scoring a goal a game.
Exactly. Play 4-4-2 and you will get more goals out of Ba, play 4-3-3 and you will get more goals out of Cisse. There doesn't seem to be much inbetween which is our problem.

Our lack of ambition is very worrying.

Suarez is a waste of space, would have Jelavic in our team over him.

3-2 Bellamy, it's there!Do you prefer Feyenoord to Ajax?
Yep, they're my hometown team; I live in Rotterdam.
Ah man love that and the fact we are in the CL history books as the only team to lose their first 3 group games and still progress
Everton's team looks so much better than Liverpool's, can only see this going one way.

Traveled, ticketless, to Brussels last week for the Belgium - Scotland game. Probably 6,000+ travelling fans I imagine with about 3,500 with a ticket for the match. Everyone gathered in the Grand Place and although there wasn't any bother, the police would rather we were somewhere else. They were friendly folk and had a great attitude, eventually shifting us out and onto the metro. The metro was free for all Scotland fans and they told us exactly where to go and where to change. They had set up a fan park close to the ground for us with beer and food stalls, a huge screen and a dj. The place was buzzing and plenty ticketless fans stayed to watch the match there. Was really impressed with the effort and set up they put on, hopefully it will be as well organised and enjoyable for our visit to Brugge.

Love it when you can hear managers shouting on the touchline.

Golf balls

Apparently throwing golf balls? Seen a white object thrown at Cabaye when he was taking a corner but couldn't see what it was.
-
The more i see of Julio Cesar, the more i understand why he plays for QPR.
-
Hope Hitzelsperger comes on and rifles a shot off Mark Hughes' face and goes into the top corner
Throw in.

Great away performance. Extremely unlucky not to leave with all three points, Coloccini was absolutely immense and Cabaye had his best game of the season. Tiote is a f***ing lemon, absolutely pointless challenge and we were in complete control until that point. We did an absolutely sterling job with 10 men and they were very fortunate to find the equaliser despite all their possession.
Krul 7
Simpson 7
Williamson 7
Coloccini 8
Santon 7
Ben Arfa 6
Tiote n/a
Cabaye 7
Jonas 6
Ba 6
Perch 6
Oh yeah and Martin Atkinson is a horrible Mackem c***.
Coloccini 8? mental.
How so?
One of the best displays I've seen from him in a Newcastle shirt, gotta be worth at least a 9.

Refereeing in this country is at such a poor level and this game just strengthed my views on it.
Out of interest, where do you think there is a good standard? I don't watch an awful lot of foreign games but go to Scotland matches and we have been royally fucked over by terrible refereeing decisions by foreign refs a number of times.
-
Had he not been held back by the foul, he would have won that ball easily. Yellow card but not a red for me.

Ah man, the more I think about the more disappointed I become. Defended so well for so long and then a fortunate equaliser comes like that. Pure gutted.
-
Sunderland were so poor, got the draw through pure luck. How many shots did Krul have to save? We defended well but pretty gutted we drew, with 11 men I think we would have comfortably taken 3 points from that game. Colo was absolutely superb

no idea what that was for.
Handled on the ground by the defender who fell over. Hard to tell if it was intentional or not as the TV angle is a bit shit, but it looked like it definitely struck his hand and he made no attempt to get his arm out of the way.
Aye, looked pretty clear to me.
-
Was it not handball?
-
What happened there like? looked like someone tried to attack Drogba?
-
Just seen the disallowed Fletcher goal, that's a shocker from the linesman.
One of the worst I've ever seen. Wasn't a penalty on Bale either, credit to him though he falls over well and that seems to be what matters these days.
What a miserable night it was. Officiating was just awful and inconsistent but at 1-0 up we shouldn't have allowed them to have so much of the ball, a goal was inevitable, two was devastating.
-
I hope I'm wrong but you must be mad to bet on Scotland away from home, particularly under Levein. He's in the paper today saying how Scotland don't need to beat Wales so that will be another 4-6-0 formation and play for the draw.
