  3. It's good to see Freddy having a laugh like. 20 minute was a bit boring though. Why are they letting us drive around the training ground? Err, probably because no-one was there? Who gives a **** if you drive through the car park lol.
  4. Everyone has complained that Roeder cannot motivate/get the best out of players, etc. You can't single Dyer out and say he's crap when most of the team has been because of Roeder. At least give him a chance to buck his ideas up under Allardyce and then contemplate selling him later.
  5. Apologies if this has already been posted; I couldn't see it anywhere. http://myfootballclub.co.uk/ I've signed up and voted for Blyth Spartans. Because someone told me to.

Aye, I've seen Emre's RR. Reckon he's sold the CLS then? Fool, it's a much better car. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/garyfothergill/DSC00076.jpg And for kicks, Shola's: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v661/garyfothergill/shola.jpg Was Emre's Merc parked near the ground? I've seen it there before aswell. Yup, just along from the Strawberry.

Martins lives in that house on the Coast Road? Madness. I've noticed the black Cayenne on italian plates and Ferrari F430 that's on the drive occasionally. I always wondered how someone living there could afford such a car. It's a nice house but not that nice. Players i've seen: Stephen Taylor a few weeks back on Northumberland Street. Emre parked next to the ground during the day (black Merc CLS AMG). Shola parked behind Monument Mall (black Merc CLS AMG) and going into Collectables on crutches just before Christmas. Nobby driving through Jesmond (black Merc CLS AMG - players have no imagination). A long time ago I saw Gary Speed walking through Monument Mall and I saw Nobby and The Wolf™ standing at the entrance to the ground. I got Nobby to sign my match ticket (was before the game). I didn't ask The Wolf™. Also saw a black Range Rover parked near the Academy after a gig last week which looked, by the reg, like it was Emre's as well. Anyone know who owns a Range Rover with the reg 1 NC or NC 1. I saw it driving near the ground an hour after the Chelsea game. It didn't look like a player driving it.

Hasn't exactly blown me away with his pace. W T F
  10. Aye, until Ronaldo can pass with his back he will never be the best.

    Sell Dyer?

Erm: get someoen better in/not actually that good/very high wages? We wouldn't get enough money because of his injury record and his wages are pittance when compared to the total. Plus, you clearly hate him. I don't and think he's fantastic when on form and in his correct position. Imo he was a major factor in our initial turnaround. Starting with the Arsenal game.

    Sell Dyer?

Definitely don't sell him, there's no point.
  13. I don't think he's as good as Zidane or Ronaldinho but he's brilliant at what he does and deserves all the attention he's getting.
  14. What a crap article. He has some good points but it's too biased against the team. Talks about some crap results (which is fair enough), yet neglects to mention both spurs games, Man U at home, Liverpool at home, both Arsenal games, etc, etc, which were all good games. We all agree we've been shit in a lot of games but at least provide some balance. And exclude Martins? WTF why?
  15. Gooch - a bad backpass that nearly ended in tears, booting the ball out of the box when Harper clearly called for it, a few other mistakes here and there. It wasn't a bad game for him, he played alright; but he's not good enough for us because we want to progress. I reckon he's a great guy but we have to be a little more ruthless with signings. It was no-ones idea to play Zoggy up front. Iirc Emre played further upfield and Zoggy took over the centre midfield role. I think Zoggy is better on the left too but he says he's best in centre midfield and Roeder didn't really have a choice. It was Dyer coming off, not Duff. Duff is best on the left. Agreed with the rest.
  16. Well, he turned up... He didnt do anything wrong today! He did mate. He did better than usual but he gave the ball away a lot (as did others mind) and he was at fault for their best chance.
  17. Ball watching resulting in the scramble when Solano blocked and headed over.
  18. Best ratings so far. Overall I'm feeling indifferent. We probably should have nicked a win but we didn't offer enough going forward. I think we paid Arsenal a bit too much respect. Still, I would have taken two draws against Arsenal at the start of the season so it's not all bad. When we have Owen to gather the flicks from Martins, etc, and relieve a little of the pressure from Martins, I think we'll be much more effective up front.

    These players...

He's living in a dream world mate. Dyer is easily good enough to play in our team atm. Maybe when we get near the top of the league we could look to replace him. To do so now would be absolutely ridiculous. He's just got back into the England squad for the first time in 2 years and played brilliantly. He's been instrumental in our good performances this season and when he's quiet, most of the rest of the team are which indicates that it isn't his ability that's lacking, but his motivation or quality of team mates. People always say our good results before christmas were because of the youngsters but I reckon it was more to do with Dyer and Martins coming back from injury tbh.
  20. Moore got injured. It wasn't a tactical decision.
  21. He also signed Thomas Repka and Don Hutchinson for £10 million. Repka was a good enough buy. He spent 5 years at the club through 2 managers. All for 1 mil a season? Not bad. I don't know enough about Hutchinson but Glenn could never play him since he got injured with a similar injury to Owen didn't he? That's like saying Bramble was a good enough buy because he spent 5 years here through 3 managers, all for £1 million a season. Hutchinson was never worth anywhere near £5 million in the first place. If you think Roeder can do a job here then that's your opinion, however by trying to put a positive spin on things that are clearly f*** ups does your credibility no good whatsoever. Err no, it's not like saying that. How can you know what i'm thinking? He was a good buy because he was a good player for them. The fact he stayed for 5 seasons is a bonus. I hardly think Roeder was the one deciding to pay £5 million, do you? And no they weren't clearly fuck ups, as i've demonstrated. If you don't agree then fine. People saying Glenn has been a complete failure in management are, in my opinion, wrong. If you don't want to make an effort at the debate then don't but there's no need to say stuff like that. Back it up your opinion if you want, I might change my mind.

    Cocky Glenn

Even if he (mistakenly) believes what he said, why bloody say it out loud. Idiot. How does he expect anyone to even remotely back him when he comes out with stuff like this.
  24. Glenn Roeder didn't do that bad? 1992-93 Gillingham, 2nd bottom of the football league. 1993-94 Watford, finished 6th bottom of the second division or whatever it was called. 1994-95 Watford, finished 7th in the old second. 1995-96 Watford, finished 2nd bottom of the old 2nd and relegated, he was sacked. 2001-02 West Ham, took over from Redknap and finished 7th. 2002-03 West Ham, finished 3rd bottom and relegated, quite funny that he thought that Don Hutchison was worth £5 million. 2003-04 West Ham, sacked. Good job we didn't appoint somebody with a poor record. a) Gillingham fans didn't want him sacked. That must tell you something? Maybe that they expected to get relegated and he did well to save them? Or they thought he was taking the club itself in the best direction he could? b) In 2 seasons he took a rubbish Watford to just outside the playoffs (in the equivalent to the championship) from a recent history of not getting near them. c) he didn't relegate Watford. He was sacked in the February when they were near the bottom. Graham Taylor had 3 months or so to help and he couldn't stop them being relegated. But yeah, it was all Roeders fault. d) he took West Ham from 15th to 7th (in the Premiership!). He made some good signings (David James for 2 mil, Englands goalkeeper) at times, got hit by bad injuries and had a brain tumor, he didn't do that great though to be fair. Although in his defence, they're now pretty much relegated from the Premier league by 2 different managers, with players like Tevez in the team, etc. e) he took NUFC from 15th place with a devestated team and morale, plus injuries to a respectable 7th and into Europe. I'm not saying he's a great manager but a failure? Not really. What you seem to forget is that facts like you've posted are meaningless unless you have an accurate view on the ability of those clubs, their recent history and what the fans expected. he's current manager of the 5th best club in the last decade. He must be f****** awesome tbh Err yeah, cheers for that. Where did I mention he had pedigree? Or that he was anything other than not a failure? Chance for another soundbite though right? Lowest form of wit and all that... Can't say how much i'm getting paid, soz.
