  1. From the BBC FA Cup feed:

What's going on with Papiss Cisse? One minute he's out for three months, then days later he's back training. Why didn't he just ask for a day off...

Steve McClaren explains: "Papiss has been out on the field running and as long as he keeps running, he could be back training next week.

"On medical advice, we are letting him rehabilitate and he is progressing very quickly in that rehab. There may come a point where he breaks down or he comes right the way through and he is fit.

"Hopefully we will see him soon."

thought he'd been missing all season never mind the 3 mths alledged for injury

Apparently Ashley messed up with online sales when he added a delivery charge to your order even when you pick it up in store, he was advised not to do it but did it anyway

no different to buying a car,you pick it up from the show room yet still charge you for delivery

  3. need to do a chelsea here and dump him and his backroom staff bearing in mind chelsea have now gone 6 points clear of the relegation zone, though of course it won't happen.

Players like Thauvin would surely do better coming into a side with a mix of foreign and British players where there was essentially a strong core/spine. Our problem is we have a collection of individuals combined with bang average managers and so players generally under perform.

Club policy means we'll never have a proper team and it'll always be a case of individuals playing to get moves to more ambitious clubs. That's what happens when your transfer policy is based on signing young Foreign players with the promise that they'll be shipped on to bigger clubs (at a nice profit to NUFC) should they be a success here.

You can never build proper team spirit based on that formula and I genuinely believe that's why we go on these ridiculous losing runs and don't bother turning up for the Derby games these days, put simply there's no motivation and "leaders" are no longer allowed in the dressing room.

In Thauvins case, best case scenario for him is he's a hit here and in a couple of years ends up at Arsenal, Man Utd etc, worst case he goes back to one of the bigger clubs in France if it doesn't work out. He's probably not too bothered either way.

I think you can if you have the right leadership in place.  You need a strong, vocal captain and good, respected manager.

    suggestions?

  5. We were s*** before he took over. Sounness was nothing to do with him, neither was Allardyce. Roeder was little better. He's continued the s***, he didn't start it or create it.

That's not to say I'm any supporter of Ashley because I'm most certainly not, he has made and continues to make loads of mistakes.

as long as he makes a profit ,mistakes don't matter, you never here of how many mistakes the likes of Branson have made only the positives

  6. What player who values their career one bit going to want to come and play under this shower.

clearly the present lot aren't even willing to play decent to entice a new club, so, give 'em a good contract ,doss for a couple of years and hey presto your a multi millionaire who don't give a sh*t
