You've got to take those sort of chances in football though and I thought he did yesterday. Would like to think he can stay involved now.
-
His problem yesterday was that no one else was really on his wavelength. That said there were a couple of times he could have played easy balls into Santon down the right. Hopefully those two can play together a bit more and strike up a partnership. He was the only one trying to make things happen until Marveaux came on.

Jonas in the training photos. Have we had any official word on his injury?

Sammy, Sammy Sammy, Sammy Sammy, Sammy Am-e-obi..! (while pogo'ing)
Shola, Shola Shola, Shola Shola, Shola Am-e-obi..! (while doing his arm celebration)
Actually there's a video!
Excellent, I said a while back that we should rip this one off of Man City and thought I heard it get a brief airing over the stream on Sunday.

Will we ever score from a corner again?!
-
Negative from Fat Sam. Can't blame him really.

Hard to tell. Looked a goal in real time, but probably a fair enough decision.

Shola on
For Cisse?
-
Any word on Jonas?
-
"One player's offside there" - What's the matter Gary - can't distinguish between Ba and Cisse?!
-
Williams won one in the air. Wow.

Piss off Birtles.

Got to laugh or else you'd cry. Fair play to Nolan with the celebration. That's what happens when you drop so deep.
-
Hopefully Anita will make us tick (wishful thinking?!)

Probably the first time Jonas has been injured for a couple of years.

Simpson just knocking it in the air to no one again. Always the same.

And the glory hunting cunts start to make some noise.
Eh? Their away fans are amongst the best in the league.
Agree, their away fans are usually class.
-
I swear he hits the woodwork at least once a game.
-
Had to Youtube the song, but yes very catchy.

Nah, teams from the same association can't be drawn against each other in the Round of 32. Think after that it is a free for all though.
-
Hope he gets another game in midfield Sunday. He looked decent in their at Anfield - kept it very simple. I know West Ham technically play a midfield 3, but one of them is Nolan, who isn't the most mobile and spends the majority of his time as a 2nd striker, so hopefully we wont get overrun in their.

Does he have asthma? My old man, who doesn't watch us play regularly, has commented the last three times he has seen him that he looks like he is really struggling with his breathing.
-
Hopefully will at least start the next 2 Europa games to give him a chance of at least getting some match fitness. He's made a handful of appearances in a year, not prepared to write him off yet, particularly as he was very bright in the second half at Goodison in May.
